Wanting a perfect family
Tweekums3 March 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The comments below relate to the second story which consisted of episodes three and four which had been combined to make a feature lengthy story here in the UK.

This second story opens with the murder of a woman and child in their home; the father is initially suspected but when he turns up dead Katrine and her team realise somebody else must have done it; to make matters worse it appears that this could be the second case of its type; in the first it had been assumed the father killed his wife and child before committing suicide. Realising that they are hunting a serial killer the team must race against time to discover how the families were connected in an attempt to find the killer before he inevitably strikes again. It looks as if they have their man when a man is arrested who had photographs of both homes, along with many others, on his laptop… the problem is he had them for his sideline in burglary. He did however have a second laptop which had been stolen; if the police can find who stole that laptop they can find the killer; by now though he has found another family.

I don't know if it is just because I'm getting used to the characters but I enjoyed this episode quite a bit more than the series opener; while the plot was nothing out of the ordinary it was very tense at times. Laura Bach continues to do a fine job as Katrine and guest stars David Dencik, Stine Stengade and Emma B. Marott did well as the killer, his latest potential victim Andrea Lorke and her young daughter Sora. The ending was somewhat far-fetched; I can't believe anybody would get away with risking the life of a child in the way that happened but apart from that it was really good; I hope future episodes are as good as this.
