Fun fantasy film for kids of any age.

This was recommended to me by a friend of mine, and I'm glad I watched it. It's a really fun fantasy film and there is more to it than I expected... A lot happens in only 20 minutes - and it holds your attention. It's a good mix of imagination and reality. I think the director did a great job of balancing the two, while establishing solid relationships between all the characters. In style and feel, it was reminiscent of films like Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and Jim Henson's Labyrinth. Like those films, The Man from the Moon has a very real story at the heart of it, which is surrounded by fantasy and wonder, albeit dark at times. It's a poignant mix, but very well done. And it had some really good laughs, too! Overall, it's definitely worth a watch by both kids and adults.

A magical short film! It reminds you that magic is out there waiting...

I thoroughly enjoyed The Man from the Moon. Brilliantly balancing real life situations with the magic and wonder of a child's imagination; it reminds you of why you should always believe in yourself and in the magic of wonder. It's great fun. Fantastic performances, sympathetic characters, a well-written story and beautifully directed; this is a magical fantasy of a film. I, for one, will be looking at the moon in a different light from now on. Willmott shows amazing promise as writer, actor and director; he'll be one to watch, if this film is any indication of what's to come. Wholeheartedly recommended; I only wish it could be longer!
