Admittedly Benjamin Parslow’s The Rat King borrows from a lot of great and classic Pa tropes but he has set his sights well beyond expectations of just a fun short film to deliver a project that works on a thinking man’s level too. Though James’ particular story feels complete, there are a lot of unanswered questions at the end of this film and I wouldn’t mind finding out more about this universe.
