Polidor gets a letter from his studio about his new role. He will be starring as an Apache -- the "wild men" of Paris who steal, wear those horitzontal-striped shirts and slam their women around in dances. Being a thoughtful sort of guy, he decides to do some research by hanging out incognito at a dive.... and is roped into a burglary...... of his own home.
Polidor was born Ferdinand Guillaume in Bayonne, part of a circus family. In 1910 he took his acrobatic abilities to the screen as "Tontolino. Within a couple of years he had switched to Polidor, making hundreds of short subjects through 1919, and thereafter occasional roles in featurs. His last was SPIRITS OF THE DEAD in 1968. He died in 1977, aged 90.
