Yeonsu is definitely a gold digger (joke). She just dumped her boyfriend when things got hard for her and now likes him again partially because he's now a successful rich artist. Jokes aside, I think the process how they slowly start to regrow feelings for each other was portrayed well with enough subtlety. That being said, I really liked the interaction with Yeonsu, her grandma and Ung. This felt pretty realistic and was pretty well done. Highlight of this episode. Broke my heart to see Yeonsu really regret her decision to break up.
NJ is lowkey just getting unintentionally played by Ung but I can't say I don't like the interaction between them. It's sometimes sweet and is kind of entertaining to see NJ bend her back for Ung.
We also continue to see Jiwoong and his mom. Not sure what purpose her introduction this late into the series really serves but we will have to observe. I do think Jiwoong's a pretty well written secondary character so I don't mind giving more depth to him. It's also becoming clearer to Ung that Jiwoong has feelings for Yeonsu but no major conflict has risen between them. Ung obviously cares about this but perhaps once he reacts negatively, it just confirms that Yeonsu is more than just a friend to him again so I think he's treading waters carefully.
Overall, a great episode that heightens the tension between the couple. Notable how natural the progression is.
