1. Ung looks at Yeonsu sleeping
2. Drawing show goes successfully
3. Ung confronts Yeonsu
This one was heart wrenching. Starting from the past, explaining how and why Yeonsu broke up with him rather abruptly. Sometimes reality hits hard. Now her line "you are the only thing I can toss away" makes sense because she literally doesn't have anything else.
The drawing show bit was ok. I can't believe people would sit through hours of drawing... I guess it's a cool but also a bit dull experience.
I noticed some decent camera work in this episode, highlighting how each character feels about one another. There was a scene where Yeonsu was drunk and was like "Is that you...woong?". In that split second, we assume its Ung not Jiwoong but it was the latter. Good moments like that really enhance the show. As Yeonsu and Ung sort of rekindle their relationship, the observer Jiwoong is gonna be put at rough spot.
The ending scene was something else. I don't know how I feel about Ung's matter-of-fact delivery but the line "The reason we broke up was my pride. My pride thinking that I can live without you". Now I understand why people watch rom-coms. Coldest line so far in the show. I think the buildup to this moment in episode 6 was very well done. Yeonsu might have rekindled her feelings toward Ung, given how successful he has become and how different he looks when he works on his art. Hey, I don't blame her. It wasn't particularly revealed how Ung feels about her but clearly she matters a lot to him. Both of them tried to act nonchalantly around one another but their feelings still remained. I am really excited to see how they pan out because it feels like Act 1 is sort of over given the conclusion of the drawing show, which was a major plot device for act 1.
