Boring & Pace is Slower than a Snail.
damon5037 October 2023
This movie has so many narration setup on every Hitmen introduced in the beginning, it got so utterly boring after 15 minutes of it, I had to fast forward each scene just to get to the point of the story. It's just too much detail and info that we don't need. I feel an amateur director at work here. It's like the director is trying way to hard to show his audience his styles and trademarks, but it's just not good enough.

Then there's the pacing of this story and the music too, it's almost purposely wanting to be slow paced so every mundane details of each scene is captured and conveyed to the audience. Also the use of slow motion is just overkill, it just ended up being one boring movie with countless overdrawn scenes it never needed to tell the story. I realized this director's trademark is being anal. Yep, director may think he's making art but he's really making the audience bored to death!

The trailer was good enough to hook me in because I really like these genre of hitmen movies, like Collateral or the classics Leon: The Professional and La Femme Nikita. Comedy or drama, I just want to see how the action scenes look like, the choreography of fight and gun scenes. This movie had none of it. Just one boring scene after another. You can be good anal, but pick the right scene to do so because nowadays the audience gets bored and lose their interest really fast! 5 stars only because a few scenes made me laugh but I'm being really generous here.

British Smoking Aces
aajj114421 November 2023
It was not a bad movie considering the small budget. It seemed like a British version of Smoking Aces but with a different motive for the hitmen. Overall the pacing was a but slow and there wasn't much action through the film. However when the action did take place it was nice and added to the movie without being pointless. The narrating was a nice touch as to keep you up to date on who was who.

The characters were a mixed bag. The motel desk clerk was a bit much and her absence wouldn't be noticed as she didn't add anything to the movie. The dynamic between the main characters was a little cringy but it worked. The male lead was a little infuriating at times and made you want to slam your head against the wall. The hitmen did fine as being convincing with the exception of the trio. Hard to take that group as a serious threat.

Overall the movie was fine if you go in to it with low expectations. Don't be expecting a blockbuster but enjoy it for what it is.

Drama and Comedy rolled into one
davidambler-8246927 March 2024
I really enjoyed this movie from the drama sequences to the comedy aspect of the leading character luke.

The sets were amazing locations and storyline was super.

I hope they'll be more films from this company.

The narrative was on point and a well worked script.

Would like to have seen more of Officer Colombo but that's just my personal feeling.

Nice to see so many young and upcoming actors in this as well as some house hold names.

Beautiful locations and lovely stories throughout.

Was warm, heartfelt, a little strange at times but good humor.

I understood the story line and what the ethos was during the film.

Was nice to see Eric Roberts in a different role.

Good Movie all round.

Don't watch

SUPER SLOW movie, takes way too long to get going. Plot is boring, no character development, in short this movie has nothing to offer.

Introducing us to the assassins seemed to have no real point, their back stories were small and added nothing to the plot.

The main couple wasn't bad, but some steamy romance during all the running around seemed like it should have happened, yet didn't.

No humour, no real action, not sure if characters were supposed to be comical or just bad acting, either way acting seemed bad.

At the very least a satisfying ending may have saved this movie, but we didn't even get that.

Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover Warning: Spoilers
First things first, this isn't Warner Bros or Lionsgate, so its budget is no where near those type of productions, so before the haters kick in, bear that in mind. A minimal amount spent in effects, but don't be fooled by no ultra explosions or fight scenes - this is decent. And head casted by the great Eric Roberts, who for me, gets better with age, and he didn't fail to perform, and delivers an excellent performance, playing his role as 'Michael Hero' to a superb standard.

Truth be told, the film took way to long to really kick in, but, have some patience, and it will give you that excitement concept feel. Narrated brilliantly, with explanations on who's who and what's what, giving a real good guide to what's gonna be installed during the movie. Would like to have seen more from Vas Blackwood, who for me, has come on leaps and bounds in the last 10 years. Couple of pet hates - the police officers doing the interview, was very poor - lost the way of the movie in that few minute scene alone, with a few things, the KFC eating of the Hotel Receptionist - but, a small price on what turned out an excellent movie, so I soon got over those bits and pieces. Some good banter lines used, questionable if they were at the correct times in some scenes.

Beautifully shot and cracking film
jason_duffer1 July 2023
So I decided to watch this film recently and it was cracking..... not sure of the budget but the way it was shot made it look like a larger budget than it probably had for an indie film. It had some really lovely aerial shots and cinematography was spot on..... the soundtrack was really good also and I personally really enjoy a film with a voiceover just helps tie everything together. Some very strong performances which helped keep you invested. I love drama with some well timed laughs to lighten the mood as the story goes on and this nailed it. If you decide to watch this film you wont regret it.

LOL That was fun
JohnDoe110027 June 2023
The mix of humour and tragedy kept me engaged throughout and captures the essence of a thrilling comic book adventure while adding its own twist of tragedy.

The movie follows Luke and Lauren, a couple who get into trouble when a fight leads to the death of a man connected to a powerful CEO. Now, hitmen from different backgrounds come after them because there's a million-dollar contract on their lives.

This film has has plenty of action, blood and bangs to please fans, but what sets it apart is the engaging story and the fun and interesting characters. It's an exciting and well worth a watch.
