Sex & Nudity

  • NO nudity or sex scenes. A few dialogues are suggestive...
  • A man suggestively tells a woman he is looking for fun in the evening. Later, the couple share a kiss.
  • A comedy scene feature a male actor dressed in feminine clothing, pinwheels on the front of the dress (where the breasts would be) spin.
  • A man eats a magic berry that gives him a woman's voice, it is suggested that the spell will eventually turn him into a woman and he will loose his "manly attributes."

Violence & Gore

  • Multiple sword fight scenes. There are slashing sound-effects, but the bodies of the slain fall down without showing any injuries or blood, often the moment of the blade touching them is not even shown or goes by in the blink of an eye.
  • As the film progresses, fight scenes are a little more intense and have the occasional minuscule splash of blood. One scene shows a sword being driven into a man, but the fatal wound is not shown.
  • Creatures turn into a puff of colored dust when they are killed.
  • The witch queen makes human sacrifices, but it happens off screen.
  • The witch needs blood to survive. She is shown making a small cut on another woman's arm, and drop of blood falls from the blade. She also bathes in a magical pool of bright-red (fake-looking) blood.
  • A few characters are stabbed with a knife, the blade is pulled out and drips blood.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The main character speaks of his craving for wine on a few occasions. He finally gets his wish. He has three drinks, stumbles around for a minute, and passes out.

  • The witch's army wears skull-like masks.
  • A woman is trapped in a fire.
  • A scene in a dark scary forest features creatures called crow-demons (two actors in long black feathery costumes who turn into a flock of birds) who fly about like wraiths and attack the hero and his friends.
  • People are trapped in cocoons.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Many scenes feature snakes. The witch's hair transforms into various snakes and she can use it to capture or strangle people. Small skeleton snakes rise out of the ground a spray a green fume, that puts all the children to sleep. Curling snakes form the bars of a prison. The witch transforms into a strange snake-like creature.
  • A man is blinded after being stabbed in the eyes with a weapon. The scene shows the back of the victim's head and not the wound inflicted; there is no blood, but a squelching sound-effect.
