Such a touching story with realistic screen play. Obviously at first this movie looks normal , after reading review i stated to watch it and felt the emotion with a bit of teary eyes at the end. Such a low budget movie with excellent story beat all so called extravagant celebrity movies in terms of touching your soul and mind ..
Watch it and feel difference, and spread kindness and genuine love to deserving people around

I couldn't stop watching it as story was so nice and thought of few climaxes, but finally it ended with fine touch which many couldn't have expected . Eventually, love and harmony are unifying forces, movie incalcates related points.

Intresting procedural drama story well driven by emotions . Main positive of the movie were emotional sequences , most of them worked well and some them were really tearjerker . In First half story building and character establishment really helped the second half to deliver strong emotional drama . Performance wise each cast gave their best , especially Preethi Asrani delivered an authentic performance . Glad to see Sasikumar in a good movie after some continuous failures . Technically , cinematography was good with neat visuals . Music were well composed and helped to elevate emotional part .
Cons - Sasi Kumar's intro started off with an action sequence and song sequence at the starting of second half , this both were totally irrelevant one . Dubbing was bit odd in few places .
Overall a genuine emotional drama feel good drama to watch with your family . Highly recommended .

A brilliant story supported by an outstanding cast. Talks on how humanity and love prevails over all other social evils like caste, racism and religion. Heart touching performances especially by the north indian family. The movie moves in a slow pace but keeps the audience connected till the end. Although predictable at moments, the feeling/ impact that it leaves at the end is simply indescribable. There are certain scenes that are sure to create goosebumps and a lasting impact. The music and bgm are a big plus, kudos to the music director. A must watch film in recent times, will surely leave you in tears at the end.
A must watch masterpiece !!! The complete movie will disturb you for atleast 2 3 days.

What a much needed script and heartwarming and soul warming movie. The best ever movie of 2023. Absolutely sensational acting by everyone. Heart touching and in some of the scenes I could see many people in tears. A must watch magical movie!! It will make you realise that you are a human and what humanity is..A different perception at the end of the movie. This movie will almost connect to many of us. A typical north indian routine works when they are in Tamilnadu and that we used to be irritated are well shown in the movie. A perfect portrayal of the characters and everyone lived in their characters throughout the movie. Please dont miss this !!

I am not fond of writing reviews but the movie made me to do it. I am tamilan in Gujarat surat. I know about both people's culture. This movie need to be celebrated by all tamil people's in india. There is a political controversy whether hindi people can stay in tamil nadu Or not. This movie is the right answer for this. This movies have all the elements of national award. This movie shows As a human being if we don't have humanity then we are equal corpses. If we think religion is important then we are fool. It proves nothing is impossible before human. If the Indian audience fail to celebrate this movie even after knowing about the movie. Then it is a question, still we are humans.
I have left a piece of me in cinemas after the movie, but that's for my own good.

Wow. It may look like an ordinary movie at first, but the mesage this movie delivers is just the need of the hour. And the plot which they have chosen was just perfect. I must say the director achieved what he originally would have wanted to convey. I cannot express how well both the actors have performed. Especially the two that played husband and the daughter of the deceased. I must say they both lived their characters. Expectinal acting. Jeez. I look forward to seeing more of their performances in Tamil movies in future. Lastly I hope people do not fail to recognise movies such as this, but watching it only in theaters.

Sometime some good films will arrive. This is one among them. Very good story line and strong performance by everyone. Sasikumar, that Hindi family(especially that father and daughter character) and all supporting characters did really well. A dialogue 'If a helping people will get this much struggle then who will come forward to help?' shows the current reality Especially for sasikumar this is his best performance after a long time. Portrayed all struggle naturally. Complex Procedures and documentation involved in transit a dead body.
Cinematography and music are real strength.

Everyone must watch this movie in theatres especially the storyline was so amazing and makes as to go into that character. After completing the movie i didn't get away from the feeling that came from the movie sasikumar was so nice with that character especially the twist gives me goosebumps and made be clap for this movie. A family from Ayodhya visits Rameshwaram on Deepavali night for a 2 day pilgrimage trip. The ignorant father forces the cab driver to go faster and the quarrel that ensues results in an accident which fatally injures the mother. The cab driver's friends agree to help the family to go back to their home while completing all the necessary legal formalities. The challenges they face to get the 7 documents and arrange the money required for the air travel forms rest of the story.
The film begins in Ayodhya where the family is introduced. The father played by Yashpal Sharma is a patriarch and an hard-core Hindu, who is inconsiderate towards his wife and children. The first act establishes the family's dynamics and their financial status. Even the introduction of the hero in an usual fight sequence isn't too glorified, instead is treated as a random occurrence. It is the second act that builds up the story as they face the challenges to get the 7 documents.
The director should be lauded in handling this screenplay that second act lays a firm foundation for the extremely emotional third act. Another highlight is how they show people willing to help along with the ignorant ones and none of those scenes seem deliberate. Merging the grief along with the due process of all technicalities actually worked. Even the final reveal about the hero's identity is as subtle as one could expect it to be.
With the credible performances by Sasikumar, Yashpal Sharma, Preethi Asrani, Anju Asrani and the little boy, Ayothi is indeed a must watch.

Really, this is a superb movie. Amazing story and screenplay; wow, everything; everyone nailed it. This kind of storytelling needs to be appreciated. People should encourage this kind of storytelling instead of action movies. This is a story of all middle-class families, their struggles, and problems. Even though they are not rich in money, they will be rich in heart. The climax was super; I didn't expect that. A big applause to the entire team and the casting people. It's a heartwarming story, it's shows how to treat people, what should be a family and many things. Please watch this movie and encourage this kind of movie in the future. Awesome presentation.

"ayothi" a decent watch.
I really liked the second half of the movie, it was very engaging and made me root for the characters more, the stakes were high. The show steeler is Preethi Asrani, she gave a really amazing performance especially in the emotional scenes. M Sasikumar and Yashpal Sharma were good. The message they tried to convey through the movie was nice, they did it without getting preachy or awkward and did it effectively.
Some scenes felt unnecessary, the fight in the first half (the intro scene of Sasikumar). The first half also felt a bit dragging, they take too much time to establish the characters. There were lip-synch issue in few places. The way Yashpal's character was written felt a bit exaggerated sometimes.
A decent one time watch overall.

Ayothi was a story that needed to be told to reinforce the power of brotherly love. Sasikumar's performance, regretfully, fell really flat but at least the rest of the cast was there to support him

They were completely immersed in their role; the look in their eyes and body language expressed anguish, agony, anger, and misery as they were grieving their mother and fighting to go back home. They almost made us cry
-Ayothi emphasized the need for philanthropy in today's times. The film accentuated the importance of being humane and having compassion toward one another despite the barriers of language, ethnicity, and status
-Great work on the cast selection especially when it came to the family members. Plus, the people who pitched in to help them played their part well by displaying the desire to assist despite their tight circumstances

Whatta movie. It shakes a person to the core. I was left in tears and moved by the story. Literally there is no words to describe the heavenly experience. Everyone could connect with the emotions portrayed in the movie. I am deeply moved and still its hard for me to come out of the memories. This is a great message to humanity, soul and kindess. Let this be an eye opener for a better world. Great acting, music, background score. This is definitely the best movie i have seen ever (including all the languages). This deserves oscars for foreign language. I truly salute the directors and everyone featured in this film.

Can't describe how much the movie relies on the content. Such movies needs much more appreciation .
Starting with acting, Sasikumar and Preeti Asrani did a fabulous role. And even the father character played his role (the annoying character) to perfection and with Pugazh delivering his part.
The beauty of each scene with less dialogues will fill your heart. There are a lot of takeaways from this movie with the main one being respect to humanity. I don't think any movie can even describe this line in a better way.
The music was really subtle and beautified the emotions whenever necessary.
And finally coming it the climax. I bet you will get goosebumps in your skin. The climax will give you a really different feel and describe humanity is such a beautiful way.

Very strong message passed subtly, Great work! This is a movie that will speak for itself, Not much promo, Not much hype, good story and most suitable actors..
Can't think of any other actor for the role. Some movies needs audience credits to reach the limit that it has to and hence writing my first ever review for a movie. When we fight for a good cause, every other things would fall in place and in the journey you will find many people with the same good intensions regardless of whoever you are. Makes you feel positive amidst of all the negatives surrounded world.
Please do watch the movie and I also hope we have an OTT release later, so that the intention reaches many people.

Strangers helping strangers, an emotional drama.

A good movie and will emotionally hook you up. All characters have done their part exceptionally well. Both male leads' (Sasikumar and Yashpal Sharma) characters were believable, and Sasi trying to deal with his childhood abandonment issues through the boy is endearing. Yashpal Sharma's change of heart as his family goes through the ordeal is touching. His acting reminds Sayaji Shinde in the Bharathi movie.
The female lead (Preethi Asrani) was spot on, delivering a variety of emotions. She handled disappointment, paranoia, surprise, etc., in a believable fashion that flowed smoothly with the scene and situation. Preethi has potential and a promising future.
Finally, the boy (Advaith) has no dialogue except for the first few scenes, but he is spectacular in delivering the shock of losing a parent.
Overall best movie, similar to Anbae Sivam, Kudos to the director (Manthira Moorthy) for giving a lovely, heartfelt emotional drama.

Writer Director Manthira Moorthy uses conventional tropes of melodrama to evoke emotions which could have been more organic and natural, apart from this its the earnest performances, a fulfilling story and elevation of right moments with a stimulating score by Raghunanthan make Ayothi a truly powerful film. Yashpal Sharma suits his character admirably, Sasikumar except his dumb introduction is primarily understated in his role. Preethu Asrani's performance is truly promising as the naive girl in shock. It was a super natural good film with more positive charm . People must be give up to peoples who are all in trouble. This film was a nice film to be in a example of humanity . I will give up to peoples for this movie. And I like to share we must support his for their cooperation and screenplay. A typical north Indian woman who comes to Rameswaram there a unexpected accident has bee occurred and her mom died in it. Even though this place was weird from their mother language and land. A main lead role of the film helps them to make all the procedures to take the body to their mother land. And the movie tells us the religious equalism . From the starting the father of heroine is so religious towards the Hindu god ( Ram). At last he came to know the person who helped them to go to their motherland was Abdul malik( Muslim ). They breaks the religious divider through the movie.

This movie was so so good! Had goosebumps all the time and it was so so emotional to see all the characters struggle to do something good! This movie should get so many awards and recognitions! Made me cry a lot and what an acting by Sasikumar! Why do movies like this get less attention??? It is really really sad. The plot cast and music everything on point!!!Great great movie!!! A must watch with family for sure! It will teach so many things to cherish and follow in life!! And that cute little boy, what an acting. Still speechless. I will definitely recommend this film to everyone I personally know!!!
