So, will Mom and Dad go to the trouble of an updated dressy wedding since their first was unavoidably skimpy. Teen daughter Betty is promoting the idea since she may be imagining someday her own dreamy ceremony. At the same time, little sister Kathy tags along with her older sis. Brother Bud, however, smirks at the idea since, surprise, surprise, he'd rather go fishing. Meanwhile, Mom and Dad are reluctant, their long attachment seeing no need for it. So which side will win out.
The entry's a good combination of liveliness and comedy preventing the subject matter from getting too sappy, always a risk for topics like this. Then too, actress Donahue gets a chance to shine as the bubbly promoter, (besides, I've had a 60-year crush on her, but don't tell the wife). Anyway, the entry again shows why these idealized 50's family series remain engaging despite the decades, so catch it if you can. (And, oh yes, remember, it's 'i' before 'e' except after 'c', so don't forget like little Kathy amusingly does).
