A rape and murder helps Benson and Stabler crack a case involving a serial rapist and killer from the 1970s. However, one copycat crime remains open when investigation reveals that the crime was committed by a woman.
When a reporter is found dead, the team investigates and Cragen upon seeing the body sees something that makes him think she was killed by a serial killer who was active 30 years ago. They eventually find the man and when confronted he says it's not him because one of the victims he couldn't have killed. They check it out and while he killed the others the one he claims he didn't kill was made to look like he killed her. So they re investigate and learn the woman was married to a celebrity businessman who's a womanizer. They think they should focus on him but he's dead. They talk to a patrol cop who worked the original case. And they talk to all the women the man was with and none of them stand out.—rcs0411@yahoo.com
