One of the most informative and entertaining food shows to come along in ages.

Food Tech has been a blessing for the History Channel. Not only do they finally have an informative and entertaining food show, they have also found a gem of a host in Bobby Bognar. Food Tech episodes are all theme based. Pancakes and Sausage were one episode, another was Mexican. They start with a plateful of food, and show you how each and every thing on that plate were made/grown/cooked/caught. It is a fascinating format. The host, Bobby Bognar is not a smarmy know-it-all. In fact, he goes into the factories and fields just as uninformed and curious as the viewer. It makes for a genuine and often humorous television show. I seriously hope History Channel keep up the good work on this one! It is far better than most of the shows they are airing at this time.

Bobby Bognar sticks his hands in everything. I don't understand how this show made it on air without anyone catching the food handling violations and lack of sanitation. He's absolutely disgusting. In the first episode, he's handling meat without gloves on and he sticks his hand in a truck full of flour meant to make hamburger buns. At one point, he grabbed sesame seeds from a bin, ate some of them, then shook off the excess with his dirty hands back into the same bin, contaminating the rest of them. Same thing with the cheese. And no one said anything?! So gross. All that happened less than 15 minutes into the first episode. This is sickening.
