Not Bad For A Movie Tied Into Great Wolf Lodge
jeremycrimsonfox17 September 2022
The Great Wolf Pack: A Call To Adventure is a new movie where wolves are portrayed as the good guys (something we need more of). It is also a movie tied to the Great Wolf Resorts line of water parks, and this is their first movie ever.

Wiley Wolf is one to consider himself a lone wolf, especially after he and his family moved into Spirit Water Forest. However, he does make friends with Oliver Raccoon, Sammy Squirrel, and Violet Wolf after saving Oliver and Sammy when Oliver's hot air balloon flies off. The four, alongside Brinley Bear, decide to join Wiley in exploring, even though he prefers to travel alone, and the five are soon on a quest to find the Great Wolf Geyser, which leads them to an adventure to help a

This is a great movie. While based on the five mascots of the Great Wolf Resorts, they have been given redesigns (Violet is now a tomboy, Wiley is a loner, etc). It also has a good story, the voice actors all do a good job, and it teaches a good moral, as Wiley learns a lesson in listening to Binley as well as that adventures are better with friends. This is a great movie for kids, as there is not much violence, and the morals are good.

The Great in Animation and Character Design and the Not so Great in Story Writing
kervindonngo22 September 2022
The Great Wolf Pack is a really interesting movie that I am willing to watch when I first saw the trailer. Good voice acting, beautiful scenery, and great animation, and has the cutest character designs of The Great Wolf Pack. But when you watch it all the way through. The story and the writing did not bring a great factor to my amusement. The story is very blunt, the writing is tacky that didn't bring impact, and it just felt rushed which looked more like a usual cash grab aimed at children for The Great Wolf Lodge in real life.

Another example is that this movie didn't give more screen time to know the interiors of The Great Wolf Lodge to rest up. No small detailed backstory or reason for each of the characters for example why Brinley joined a random pack. Wishes the Otter felt it's just a random short appearance, and the creature characters almost felt a little generic.

This movie has potential for The Wolf Pack if they plan the next adventure which is a movie sequel that is more than one hour or a cartoon series. They need to have more inspiring writers. Perhaps adding a main villain, and lore, and exploring more in the lodge would be nice.

And maybe a little action and fighting would really set the sequel in amazement.

Almost good but need more entertainment

That short movie I will not call it bad for necessarily it's just it probably needs a strong animation and a strong dialogue. But I do appreciate about the wonderful adventure since Balto & Alpha & Omega movie. Maybe it needs the series. But who knows. But hey I love those anthropomorphic animals. But they need to be more funny but I still enjoy it. One of my favorite characters of the great Wolfpack is of course all the good Guy characters but the most I like is. Sammy Squirrel & Violet the Wolf-Obs lol. If only wish there's other videos or movies for anthropomorphic animals that could be way better and the best quality since the success of Zootopia and the Secret of NIMPH.

Not good at all especially the animation and designs.

If you're looking for a good wholesome animated movie you're not going to find it here. This movie is straight up living proof of how to never do animation. Six Point Harness and all the other animation studios brought in for this! Yeah right it feels like it was animated and drawn by a bunch of 4 year olds. Clocking in at 47 minutes this movie is a straight up joke. The live action remake of Pinocchio was actually better than this in my opinion. First of all the character designs are really awful they made Wiley and Violet look like bad cereal mascots instead of the actual characters of Greatwolflodge. Seeing them arguing and Wiley flopping around like fish wasn't amusing. I can't believe they made a wolf look so bad that the legs as thin as sticks and not what a wolf leg is supposed to be. Brandon Winckler was okay to be Wiley the Wolf his voice is relatively elegant except the made him a stick in the mud a bunch of times. I can't believe Wiley acted like a whinny and spoiled kid rather than a mature teenager was an utter disgrace for this film. Jim Cummings would have been much better. Or the great Tom Kenny would have been a good voice for Wiley the Wolf. Probably what Brandon Winckler didn't capture was Wiley's howl it was the most unconvincing howl I heard it sound like a wolf pup instead of a teenaged wolf. I literally thought Wiley the Wolf looks like if you take Wile E. Coyote and mix him with the Cookie Crisp Husky.

Now Maya Tuttle was okay for Violet the Wolf but I have to nitpick in Greatwolflodge Violet was known to be generous to all and just a down to earth friend to everyone here making Violet a Tomboy and a perfectionist, now where entering Brave territory with Queen Elinor as she was a perfectionist in that film. The worst thing they did was the voice of Sammy the Squirrel. Xanthe Huynh was very distracting to hear it sounds like Sammy the Squirrel is 4 years old instead of 10 and for a person who mostly voiced anime characters it wasn't the best choice for Sammy the Squirrel honestly Carolyn Lawrence would have been much better. But Ogie Banks as Oliver Raccoon was the worst voice out of them all. To have a 49 year old dude voicing a 12 year old boy Raccoon was so disappointing to hear. It was juxtaposed and jarring to listen to and Ogie didn't capture the voice of Oliver Raccoon at all. It sounded more like Raphael from the 1987 Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles Debi Derryberry or even Doug Lawrence would have done better. Did we really need to see Oliver's parents? Who look more like red pandas instead of raccoons. This movie felt like a bad mid 2000s post first movie SpongeBob episode a lot of scenes where unfunny and lame from below par animation bad character designs.

Six Point Harness, Anima Estudios, or Discreet Arts weren't the best animation studios for Greatwolflodge a family friendly resort to turn to they should have used Walt Disney Animation or even Illumination Entertainment at least they would have done a far better job instead of it being slipshod and shoddy like it was here. All I can say about this movie is very poorly produced and badly done. It should have never existed and Greatwolflodge should have never noise dived into an atrocious film of this caliber.
