Lots of potential with only some of it utilized Warning: Spoilers
To start this off, Goseiger had an interesting idea going with the guardian angel thing, which was pretty unique. Especially in a time like this, where of the time of writing this, we're on our fourth dinosaur season. Unfortunately, the angel theme is kinda shoved aside for most of the season. It's always there, but it seems to exist so the team can have a collective moral compass, and a reason not to have to explain the headers that come out of nowhere and are passed off as "miracles." Not to say that it doesn't has it's merits, such as destroying the barrier between the guardian realm and human realm to cleverly explain why reinforcements aren't provided. Which I guess is a nice gateway into the Goseiger's mentor, Master Head. He only appears through video communication for most of the season and is terribly unhelpful besides providing one new mech and sometimes giving important exposition. Why wasn't Gosei Knight giving those backstories instead? After all, the one story arc he wasn't apart of gave their villain faction little to no explanation anyway. Even the really important lessons that the characters learn individually were done without Master Head's help. Which leads us to the Goseigers themselves. I'll give them this: It was really smart to make their six ranger a robot that at first didn't care about humans, and all the things the Goseigers fought for. It was a really nice change of pace to see their happy go lucky nature challenged. But, the team members individually could have used some diversity in terms of personality. Aside from Hyde, there isn't a whole lot I could say to differ the members from each other besides key events that they were apart of. I have to add that it is still possible to do this while keeping their optimistic personalities, which I don't have a huge problem with.

The show had a really enjoyable final story arc with easily one of my favorite Super Sentai villains. The rest of the villains however struggled on a structural basis because factions rotated throughout the season (as in, one villain faction would be around for ten to twenty episodes, die, and then the next one would show up). This could have been fixed if they all took place around the same time. It makes them all seem equally disposable and act as one big buildup to the six episode endgame. Which is kinda sad since I was genuinely interested in most of the villains and wanted to learn more about them, but that privilege unfortunately was not given.

To be more positive, I love the shows aesthetic and how it all blends together nicely. Unlike other seasons, it knows when and where to insert a gimmick (not in a bad way) and how to use it (coughKYURANGERcough). Gosei Knight is a really cool and interesting sixth ranger with a character arc lasting practically the entire season after he's introduced. While we don't learn a whole lot about the guardian realm, the lore we learn about and how everything ties together in the end is very intriguing. To top it all off, Brajira of the Messiah is refreshingly competent, and makes a lot of it worth it for me. Goseiger is a little difficult to get into at first, but when I got invested, I REALLY got invested.

In conclusion, Goseiger isn't for everyone, but I'd recommend at least giving it a try.
