Episode 407

Warning: Spoilers
The show is not what it could be, but this episode felt kind of true to the original Roseanne series. Some laughs here, but a lot of the acting is very poor across the board.

The writers and actors should be ashamed.

John Goodman and Laurie Metcalfe can do not wrong. Everyone else was so amateurish that if you hadn't known better you'd swear this was there debut into the acting world. This eastern philosophy but they're doing would be better if it just didn't exist. The episode resembled some closer to a high school assembly about making good choices then an episode of a prime time sitcom.

Dull and stupid episode

Warning: Spoilers
So it looks like the TV Guide teaser was wrong (fortunately). I know I read that snippet and I was wondering how in the world anybody would want to buy the Conners furniture. We're not talking about antiques that might be worth money. We're just talking about furniture that's as old as the kids are and been put together who knows how many times.

I'm over the Darlene religion/new age storyline. Harris got on my nerves tonight as well. We saw a snippet from a previous episode of Mark feeling more comfortable talking to Ben rather than his own mom so it also makes sense that Harris would also have tensions with her mom. I can buy Mark's tensions more than Harris's tensions. Mark has ZERO income since he's a young teenager. If you're bickering with your mom that much and you do have some income coming in, why don't you move out of your grandpa's house and move in with another friend or coworker? So the friend Harris moved in with before was a flop and it looks like this boyfriend is a flop. Are they the only two people in the universe?

WaCkY Jackie's back and I groaned seeing that. I hate what they're doing with the character. Just no other way to say it. This is your place of business and you need to act like you at least know what you're doing instead of having hot food being flown to tables courtesy of drones.

Dan went a bit overboard with asking if any of the kids are planning to be a success anytime soon in order to move out/have places of their own so they can take some of this furniture they're wanting to keep. Of course DJ had to be in that scene. I do realize DJ, Becky and Darlene all work. But DJ does at least have a place of his own. Might should've asked DJ if he wanted to take some of this furniture to his place.

Going downhill fast

I will say I continue to watch this show purely because I love the first few seasons of Roseanne.

The Conners has been good to a point. Some good writing and good performances. Season 4 has had a drastic downturn in my opinion. Poor stories, questionable acting and above all not funny. Goodman and Metcalfe legends that they are are phoning this in.
