Joyce experiences her first police raid as an employee of Bottom Dollar Publications, this the nineteenth and counting, Richie and Bambi telling her that they happen a few times a year. But this raid is different in that the police didn't give them a head's up as they usually do, Doug learning it's because he has not yet greased the wheels with the new councilor, Bridget Westbury, who issued the raid. Doug will find that dealing with Councilor Westbury will not be as easy as other councilors in she being elected on a "clean up the valley" platform. While Doug looks in his regular toolkit of measures that have worked in the past, Tina believes it's time she took the bad cop role in their good cop/bad cop partnership. The confiscation part of the raid left only Minx with enough material to be published of the thirteen magazines. However, the raid scared off all of Joyce's contributing writers, who have pulled their articles. With Doug preoccupied with the councilor, he has left Joyce to figure out how to replace the space that would have been taken up with those articles.
