- Struggling independent filmmaker tracks a successful independent filmmaker to his surreal, mystical homeland, where their confrontation pushes the struggling filmmaker from adulthood to wisdom.
- LOGJAM is Mel Brooks meets Apocalypse Now. Sometime in the near future, one crackpot filmmaker (Hank Braddigan) pursues another (Art Angst) through Delaware County, a county permanently closed by the Federal government. The government figured the county was too expensive to upkeep, having flooded to many times, and that if they closed it no one would notice, which nobody did.
So when Hank Braddigan receives a cryptic invite to meet the mysterious Art Angst who apparently resides in this closed county, he must find a way to gain passage through the lawless border town of Oneonta, NY, to do so. LOGJAM follows Hank and his crew through this treacherous/ludicrous journey, and the odd folk he and his crew meet along the way and upon reaching their destination.
Finally, LOGJAM incorporates more than a glimpse into the process of making the film itself, a film made under tremendous duress of all sorts, and ultimately fortunate to see the light of day (or dark of the cinema). By weaving the linear narrative together with post-modern/post-production commentary, via direct interaction with the narrative by the film's creator (Steve Monosson) and by a character he has created (Jake Shempp), LOGJAM ultimately sets out provide a uniquely satisfying comedy film-going experience.
