Dr. Suzanne Mathis takes pity on a girl who's brought in for treatment after being found with a wound, Mae refuses to speak, but Suzanne takes her into her home, in order to try to help her.
This was sold to me as something I'd really enjoy, if I'm totally honest, I find myself feeling a little underwhelmed, and hardly desperate to move onto episode two, my main gripe, there's nothing new or original here.
I haven't read up on it, but I assume Mae is from a cult, and I assume Suzanne has had the same experiences as her new charge. Mae will cause chaos for the family, but Suzanne will put her first, prove me wrong.
At least it was only 40 minutes long, maybe it's a grower.
5/10.
