Best comedy series I have seen

There are a lot of things that make me give "Lykke" the highest vote possible.

  • the script: so many angles, so many characters and so many twists in the story that it is always entertaining. The script-makers really know how to make each sub-story to something of its own.

  • the actors: throughout they are superb - they have the abilities to give their characters the 100% credibility that you want. Even if there are top performances everywhere, I have to mention Lars Brygmann as Flemming - he is really the clown of the series. Hilarious!

  • the directors have done an excellent job - the story is flowing on in a pleasant pace, they get the best out of the actors.

  • cinematography is so great that it is not noticed but is letting me engage in the storytelling. Exposure, lighting, focus, sound and cutting - all is great.

The only downside of "Lykke" is that Lykke herself often acts like a fashion model with extreme clothes, changed several times a day, it seems.

Me and my wife have seen the series once and we are now re-watching it with friends to much amusement for all of us.

A favourite! Watch if you get a hold of it!

I completely agree w Sverker. This series is funny, intelligent and with brilliant high class Danish (and Swedish with the great David Dencik as Anders Assing) actors and dialogue. At the same time unrealistic and completely realistic characters. Hilarious and serious at the same time. Nice intertwining relationships and some cute love stories. Too bad it ended after two seasons but understandable given the ending of it. We just binge watched it for the third time while in bed with a terrible cold.Highly recommended to get in a good mood. Paprika Steen puts as always on a brilliant show as Lykkes mother and the actor who Plays Lykkes boss Flemming is also a comedian genius (oh haven't we all met these silly undeservedly promoted men unable to do their job without the help of women employees...)
