To this date, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 remains a highly praised game on Steam, unlike the series’ soft reboot. Soap did die in 2011’s Modern Warfare 3, but at least he got a heroic death back in the day, not a waste like an Npc, which is exactly what the developers did in the latest Call of Duty title. Now that it proved a big disappointment, some fans were seen picking a debate over the original MW3, just for fun.

Call of Duty is a title that has a sizeable portion of the market share when it comes to multiplayer Fps titles. Despite that, gamers who have been fans of the title for a long time unanimously agree that the franchise has fallen off.
The upcoming entry in the franchise, referred to as Black Ops Gulf War, is rumored to be in development by Treyarch, the fan-favorite developer who has developed some of the most critically acclaimed games in the franchise. However, the reported title should address one valid fan concern.

The worst characters in gaming are typically the ones these protagonists are up against. However, amid the shortage of single-player campaigns, thanks to the live service epidemic, protagonists are becoming rare in video games.
But that’s not always the case. Sometimes, protagonists can be just as annoying. The sad part is players cannot get rid of them if they like the video game they are playing. Such a dilemma.
Why Do Antagonists Have All the Hate When These ‘Pros’ Are There? Here Are the Most Hated Protagonists of Gaming
Some characters will stick with the players like glue, and while the players may want to bury them in the ground, it’s not really possible. Let’s say they are just hanging by the mercy of the video game, as players won’t be allowed to proceed further without them. We picked five of such characters whom gamers might find very lovable.

In Call of Duty’s huge timeline and titles that have shaped the franchise so far, it seems like the latest entry into the Black Ops sub-series stays hidden, even though there have been countless leaks surrounding the same.
Contrary to popular belief, it seems that the new entry isn’t going to be titled Black Ops Gulf War. The upcoming title is the next game in the franchise that will tell a story about one of the most interesting and brutal conflicts in the history of war.
So, What Is the Next Call of Duty: Black Ops Going to Be? Depending on the nature of its narrative, the game’s name could surprise everyone.
According to Detonated on Twitter, the game is not going to be called Black Ops Gulf War. Instead, this could just be a number, or an entirely different name altogether. Perhaps even Black Ops V.

There are few Call of Duty games that achieved the level of perfection with their narratives and Black Ops was one of them. The games have one of the best scripts in the franchise’s history, as well as gaming itself. The game was released in 2010 and drew a whole new wave of fans.
Mason, Reznov, and the company push forward to a new level of narrative that no player thought an Fps could achieve. On Reddit, some enigmas from the game about Mason’s brainwashing are still alive and they still can not figure some things out.

Call of Duty has added several twists and turns to its multiplayer over the years. Some became beloved, some abandoned. Gamers may be wondering what Black Ops Gulf War (unconfirmed title) has in store for them, as it is probably on its way. It will rumoredly feature open-combat missions like Modern Warfare 3, and if that’s the case, players may seek a better experience in multiplayer.
Recently, some fans chose to pick up on previous entries in the series and highlighted the poor integration of AI. In-game NPCs can be dumb but are getting better throughout the years. However, some Call of Duty fans are living in the past as they come about to point out some faults in previous entries like Black Ops 2. The game was first released and became an instant hit, like the majority of the games in the series.
The successful series has five games in its fleet (six if one counts 2008’s World at War). The next installment in the popular military shooter is likely to add another, which is also said to bring back major protagonist Raul Menendez, and players are full of vim and vigor for it. However, nothing has been confirmed officially.

For more than two decades now, Activision’s Call of Duty franchise has continued to be regarded as one of the best and longest-running game franchises out there. The series is known to release a new installment every year. Some even consider the Call of Duty series to be a pillar of the first-person shooter genre.

While the series has some great games under its banner, the Call of Duty franchise also has a decent number of games that never saw the light of the day. However, it was later canceled.

Call of Duty is a franchise that has been close to our hearts since childhood. Most of us might have entered the gaming world with this long-hailed Fps series. If there’s one positive aspect that came out of the latest Call of Duty installment, it’s that the community has started to appreciate the older titles more. The Black Ops series stands out because it consists of some of the greatest games that the first-person shooter franchise has to offer.
Moreover, where Sledgehammer keeps disappointing with Modern Warfare 3, Treyarch has always been more respected by the players. Not only did the developer create the sub-series, but it’s also set to helm the upcoming Black Ops Gulf War, and it seems like the franchise may be bringing back the magic it has lost.

Call of Duty is one of the most successful video game franchises and Activision always finds a way to milk it once a year. This year’s CoD will take players back to the Black Ops era and titled it Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War but it may feature one character that fans are tired of.
It is rumored that Raul Menendez, the classic Black Ops 2 villain, will be appearing later this year and the gaming community is not a fan of it. To be fair, the franchise was never the most linear but fans are hoping to see something new rather than reusing older characters.

Call of Duty, as the fans knew it, has gone, and it seems like devs aren’t doing anything to get that status back. Recently, they added the infamous Rebirth Island to the game for faster gameplay, however, it too failed to live up to the mark. Moreover, Activision is doing collabs after collabs, which prompted some to compare the game with the battle royale title Fortnite.

What do "Saving Private Ryan," "Dunkirk," and "Oppenheimer" -- among countless other World War II movies -- all have in common? Beyond the obviousness of their shared genre space, it's actually even simpler than that. None of these films would've been possible without one common denominator: the true, real-life heroics that ultimately inspired this year's "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare." Based on author Damien Lewis' "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: How Churchill's Secret Warriors Set Europe Ablaze and Gave Birth to Modern Black Ops," the covert op undertaken by a select group of fearless individuals from all different walks of life only became known to the general public relatively recently. Files kept by the British War Department were finally declassified barely a decade ago and, as it turns out, that was for good reason. This might have been one of the most crucial undertakings of the entire conflict ... even if...

Guy Ritchie is back with The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Based on what is allegedly the first “Black Ops” mission it’s a variation on The Dirty Dozen and all the knock-offs that followed, right up to and including Inglourious Basterds.
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare opens with a boat having just been boarded by several members of the German Navy. As they pour gasoline over the deck, they tell its occupants they have the choice of staying on board and burning to death, or jumping overboard and drowning. For some reason, however, they don’t seem very worried.
From there we jump back 25 days, to Churchill watching newsreel footage about Hitler’s U-boats keeping American troops from entering the war.

In “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” British Prime Minister Winston Churchill authorizes an illicit mission to undermine Hitler’s fleet of German U-boats during World War II. The plan calls for renegades with little respect for the rules, led by a cocky ex-criminal named Gus March-Phillipps (Henry Cavill), who’s released from prison and called into a top-secret briefing. Oblivious to etiquette, Gus helps himself to a tall glass of Scotch whisky, steals an entire box of cigars and struts over to the desk where a priggish-looking officer sits. Gus swipes his lighter, making a fool of the uptight chap, who identifies himself as “Fleming, Ian Fleming.”
It doesn’t take an intelligence expert to put two and two together: Gus March-Phillipps would later serve as a prototype for Fleming’s James Bond character. Since “No Time to Die,” there’s been much talk about who might fill Daniel Craig’s shoes,...

The more users play Call of Duty on PlayStation, the more traction Xbox is likely to get. Last year, Microsoft struck a deal that shook the gaming industry, it acquired Activision Blizzard in a $69 Billion deal. With the company, came its flagship product, Call of Duty. Conversations sparked about the game potentially moving away from Sony’s console.
However, Microsoft promised to keep it on PlayStation, at least for some time. Now a new piece of stat has emerged over the internet which highlights the popularity of the game among Ps users. However, that may be something for Sony to give a thought about.

Call of Duty: Zombies from 2011-12 was a canceled project, which was developed by Raven. This was revealed by a former Call of Duty (Cod) developer who had worked on several franchise titles from Black Ops to Cold War and Warzone.
Call of Duty: Zombies was revealed to be a stand-alone microtransactions-based live-service title modeled after 2015’s Call of Duty: Online. The Cod-branded project was codenamed Project Zed, as an experimental project, but never saw the light of day eventually. Reasons were also revealed as to why Treyarch initially turned down the project which has also never been attempted since then.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was an underwhelming finale from Sledgehammer Games and Activision. Fans and critics alike were upset with the short campaign that came with a hefty price tag. Games like CoD need something extra like alternate game modes to keep the player count in check.
Zombies were introduced to the franchise by Treyarch in the Black Ops trilogy, which was then integrated into later entries of the franchise including Modern Warfare 3.

New information about a standalone Zombies game has surfaced that barely made it into development stages before it could see the light of day almost a decade ago, but it didn’t pass beyond design documents. The whole world is now anticipating the all-new Call of Duty: Black Ops: Gulf War. However, there has been no confirmation of this title so far, but certain rumors from insiders claim it to be the next big thing from Activision. Even Treyarch has shifted its focus to this title from Modern Warfare Zombies to make this title a great success.
There are a lot of claims, based on many leaks, that this game is going to be a lot different from previous Call of Duty titles in terms of some new features. But is that really the case? Because a certain leak is purely contradictory to the other leaks. It is speculated that the Gulf War is going to be the same as the Cold War.

Call of Duty is a franchise known for being only a shadow of what it once was. Also, one doesn’t need to look too far to find players expressing their grievances with the title, from matchmaking issues to cheating troubles. Despite that, one thing the title gets right is releasing new content regularly.
New content in the game is rolled out in the form of Seasons and Season 3, the latest one launched recently. By the numbers alone, it seems that fans are gravitating to the game, and the new Season passes as the game is topping Steam charts in the United States regarding revenue.

The new season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is offering the game for free for a limited time. It may drum up interest among the community but leave the loyal CoD fans wanting more from the game. MW3 isn’t exactly the apple of fans’ eyes, as it has failed to capture the essence the franchise once had.
What’s interesting is that fans won’t get anything but to play something that has already received a lot of backlash from players. While the players were dealing with the hacker problem already, the game introduced open combat missions in its single-player campaign to ruin the fun. Instead of enjoying the experience, fans are now waiting for the next installment in the franchise in the hopes it returns to its roots.

Call of Duty: Black Ops turned out to be a great success in the Call of Duty franchise. Released in 2010, this title was back then dubbed as “the biggest entertainment release of all time”.
Call of Duty Black Ops gameplay
Among the several things that players enjoyed about this first-person shooter game was the intruging plot and tale that the game told. Before the game released in November 2010, Treyarch community manager Josh Olin spoke to The Guardian about their forthcoming Call of Duty release, Black Ops.

Talking about the premise and background story of Black Ops, Olin said that the game takes place during the cold war. He further clarified that it’s not entirely about the cold war but includes its own fictional story.
He added that the Vietnam-related sequences in the game are not about the Vietnam war.

They are likely bringing zombies to the game too, a mode that was believed to be gone for good. In addition to that, new leaks might add some more excitement among fans.
Details about the game are thin on the ground, but it will likely take place in the Black Ops timeline and reportedly be set during the Gulf War. The first game in the series was developed by Treyarch and released in 2010. Treyarch is rumored to be leading the development this time.

Some video games are released without any competition at all. Even if they have some kind of competition, it’s hard for them to match the success that comes with this franchise of first-person shooters. Fans literally wait for the next game, even though this series is a yearly franchise, and Activision produces a brand-new game every year. The quality of its multiplayer mode and the fun time that it provides always end up attracting gamers to it.
But in recent times, Call of Duty games have started changing a bit. For one, they have really started taking their chances with its single-player story mode. On the other hand, for fans, the amount of content that is released with the base game has seen some decline. Now, it looks like one of Call of Duty’s biggest and most popular supporters has spoken up, too.

Modern Warfare 3 is already old news, as new rumors have started circulating about the next title in the franchise. Treyarch is reportedly working on this year’s Call of Duty (Cod) title, bringing back the next edition of Black Ops, based on the Gulf War.
Just as in Modern Warfare 3, tons of remastered maps are rumored to be brought back in Black Ops: Gulf War as well. One of those maps that’s reportedly confirmed for now is Nuketown. The map first appeared in a Black Ops (Bo) title back in 2010 and is based on a fictional nuclear test town in Nevada, U.S.A.
This Chaotic Map is Getting Yet Another Remastered Iteration
Nuketown is all set to return with this year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops title.
The map was first remastered for Bo 2 (2012), titled Nuketown 2025. In the following title, BO3 (2015), the map was once again remastered and released as Nuk3town.

The Call of Duty franchise has been around for the last 21 years and has gone through a lot of change since then, but new leaks feature a new Black Ops logo and heavily suggest that Call of Duty 2024 will be on a route for a more familiar branding that will fit the present branding. The best way to stand out is by having on-point branding to make it more recognizable, which is a must-have for a franchise that is as large and well-established as Call of Duty. Activision is well aware of the value of the IP and has shown a profound commitment to its growth.
