Moving, insightful exposure to a great Israeli author

I loved this film and recommend it highly. It is a rare, in-person, close-up view of one of the greatest Israeli writers of the last six decades, filmed when Yehoshua was in his final years. He is the star of the film. The camera follows him at home, at some public occasions, in some private meetings, and the audience comes to know and fall in love with him, his modesty, decency, sense of humor, self-awareness, and poetic and psychologically insightful thoughts and writings. Anyone who has read any of his many stories, novels or articles, whether in the original Hebrew or in the excellent English translations, will be delighted to meet and get to know this great author through this film, and anyone who has not yet read Yehoshua will be inspired to do so having "met" and gotten to know him through the film.
