One of the things I have always loved in this show (all the way through 8 seasons) is Alexis.
Castle says at the end "She's a chip off the old block, isn't she?" Beckett rolls her eyes, but the thing is, Alexis is all that. Castle has already shown a special sensitivity many times, like with Rina the model, and Alexis does also. That sensitivity, by all three including Beckett is one of the things that makes this show a joy. So many episodes end with that sentimental moment.
Here's a time out to give kudos for Molly Quinn.
