An Amazing Movie
rizzella-706-1383506 April 2010
My brother shared this movie with me and I am really thrilled that he did. I have shared it with many people and they loved it as much as I did. Word of mouth has brought this movie to many households that might not have seen it otherwise. It is amazing to see how well these guys did. Their movie is simple and clean and a powerful statement of the common man without all the Hollywood hype. This movie shows a true grassroots effort to peacefully affect change in our nation. Grassroots currently seems to be the only way that we are going to be heard. America is still a great nation and we sometimes need to be reminded of it. This is a movie that I will continue to share with anyone and everyone. Thank you to those who worked so hard!

Two Thumbs Up!
dilloncoaster7 April 2010
I absolutely fell in love with this film. Ron Paul is America's leading voice for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. You know the finances are so bad, and they're getting much worse because of the way they're spending money, running up the debt. I think the financial crisis is getting so much worse. Interest rates are going up. I think that's a major, major problem we face. Congressman Ron Paul has continued to run his Congressional office in a frugal manner, and was able to return more than $100,000 from his allotted office budget to the Treasury this year, an increase over the $90,000 returned last year.

Great Movie!!

Warning: Spoilers
I can see why this movie was shown at so many theaters! Very well done and it brought back so many memories. I recommend for anyone to get an accurate view of the US you live in today concerning campaigns, and media watch this movie! So many wonderful people came together to work hard for their values. I hope for a sequel because there was much left out, and much left to happen. I also love how many interviews with just regular people there were. They did a great job not making it about a popularity contest. I am so glad the creators have made the DVD's available at such a low cost especially to those who want to pass it out to friends or even to the public. I would have liked to have seen at least a mention of Operation: Live free or Die, the movement that brought over 500 people to New Hampshire to campaign for Ron Paul from November of 2007 till after the primary on January 8th. Great work, and great movie!

What an eye opener!

Warning: Spoilers
I have followed Dr. Ron Paul since 1988 and find him to best represent my view in Congress. What a surprise to find a documentary film about him, his campaign for liberty and the impact he is making on the political scene. This is must see stuff (after you've watched TV news) and want the real story. A well done film document about the sea change underway across our nation as everyday people rediscover the founders dream of individual liberty. This is not just political rhetoric from politicians and bureaucrats who are pandering for votes - this is the America that you and I live in, real people, getting out and working for Liberty. They speak about it in the language that we all understand as free Americans. I hope we ALL get the message!

This movie is fantastic for many reasons....
shawnoelx6 April 2010
....so I'll list a few of them. The movement for a more free society in the good ol' U.S.A. started with Ron Paul's run for the republican presidential nomination in 2008. This was a fun, adventurous, heart breaking, exhaustive, educational, and miraculous time for those of us who were pushing for Ron Paul's nomination or at least the acknowledgment that the man was running! People can be so creative, warm, sincere, among other things when they are fighting for what they believe in. This movie shows the viewer these aspects and so much more! It is educational and informative. Funny and heart felt. It shows the insides of a movement that was based on one thing.....FREEDOM! Freedom to touch the stars and freedom to fall on your face! If you want to have a laugh and learn about your countries electoral process I highly recommend you watch this movie!!! Great stuff!

uplifting touch to such a painful end
stamper-496 April 2010
This film was incredibly well made. It looks at the 2008 Ron Paul presidential run from the viewpoint of a die hard supporter. Sure RP ended up losing, and the media drug him through the dirt...but a group saw through the trash and came to understand Liberty in its purest form of Constitutional limited government. Chris Rye does a great job showing the spark that kindled a fire for freedom in the hearts of millions.

Ron's story is an inspiring one; he alone stood by his word and ideals during the campaign (and entire political career: never voting to raise taxes, never voting for war, never voting for more regulation, never voting against the Constitution). He talked sense and truth during the debates and was HECKLED by other candidates for speaking out against the bloodbath known as the Iraq War. Ron Paul has the fire and passion of a true American. Big Government, Big Business, WATCH YOUR BACKS!

Fabulous Movie!
mapowr13 April 2010
This is the perfect movie to watch for those of us who have at one time felt as if we know something is wrong with the direction our country seems to be headed, but do not think that our one little voice can have much of an impact. I have personally met or know some of the people featured and the movie does a wonderful job in showing their efforts and integrity. From my own personal experience, this movie encapsulates and accurately depicts the efforts and spirit of the efforts behind the grassroots movement also known as the LOVE-OLUTION. A must see for anyone who has ever tried to get an idea across and just needs to know there are others out there doing the same thing and there are those that truly inspire just by their actions.

Ron Paul Hits It Right and People Out There Know It
srichardslocator28 June 2010
I wish I could show this movie to everyone I know. It pretty well sums up the many things wrong in this country and the need for major change starting with getting the right person in charge (Ron Paul) and cleaning house. (The white one that is)! It had to have taken a lot of thought to so perfectly express the things that Ron Paul believes in with a documentary. This film makes me feel like there might be hope for us yet though the powers that be will fight tooth and nail to keep things the way they are. Still, it is good to know that there are still people out there with enough sense to see through the lies thrown at them on a daily basis. To the film makers I say thanks and keep up the great work!

How our political system should work!
alan_decato4 July 2010
I have always loved history and I have been inspired by the elegant simplicity of the documents left to us by our founding fathers. I have often lamented the erosion of the principles by revisions, that nullified the intent of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The election process has usually been distilled to a choice between two evils. The all important selection process has been reduced to sound bites. The major media outlets control the candidate selection processes. The two party system limits our choices. The Granny bus, those who walked, those who bicycled, those who raised money to float the Who's Ron Paul Blimp, have inspired me. This documentary showed how we the people can act independently but in concert to effect change. All of my life people have told me "Alan, you can't change the world." Watching this movie I realized how wrong they were, I'm going to follow my instincts, and my conscience, I'm inspired and because of this film I will do more to effect change in 2012.

I loved it
kit-maira13 July 2010
As a Ron Paul supporter who put his boots on the ground during the campaign, I simply loved this documentary. The film brought back many great memories of the good times we had, and informed me of some of the moments of the campaign that I had forgotten. The interviews were excellent, the cast of characters unforgettable. this film may not be for everyone, neocons and leftists will probably not understand, but for someone who was there, and lived the experience of working to change America, to right it's path, I am extremely pleased that this film was made.

I especially liked how the producers exposed the media bias, especially Fox News, and the vendetta they carried against Ron in the debates and commentary. The country should have been up in arms over the shameful treatment he received from the media. Dr. Paul should be commended for his quiet dignity through all this, and the film makes this evident.

I can't wait for "For Liberty, part 2, Ron Paul wins, 2012!"
