As per tamil audience it's OK, in comedy and suspense way they have delivered the message , but originally message was special and emotional, but here it was a comedy.

Really enjoyed the movie, more so because it has one of my favourite actors playing a lead role. Satyaraj:-) The central message of making sexual love explicit among middle age Indians may not have been positive half a century ago.
Not an absolute remake

Everyone know it's the official remake of Badhai ho but the roles were not played as same. Sathyaraj and Oorvasi are extremely brilliant artists but did not play the exact roles - instead they just reminded it's a regular comedy script. It must have been a dark comedy but Balaji only knows why did he make the ulta. The second half was ok and did similar to Badai ho.
Balaji and Aparna were a good pair and they got their play superb but let Sathyaraj and Oorvasi down like usual comedians.
Could have worked better on script and scenes in first half.

Good family entertainer . We knew it's official remake of Hindi movie " Badhaai ho " . This movie tried to justify its original one . It's not a copy paste remake , they did many changes for Tamil audience , some changes supported well and some didn't . Few comedy worked very well . Main positive of the movie was message they were trying to deliver was well told like original version did . Whole cast did a great job , especially Sathyaraj and Urvashi pair were impressive . Overall a good weekend watch and family entertainer movie . Eventhough you've watched it's original version , try this too , you may like it .

DELICIOUS
---One thing you'll notice throughout Veetla Vishesham is the everpresent yellow color: yellow bindi, yellow dishes, yellow walls, yellow mangoes, etc
Yellow is the color for cowardice and that's exactly how the males in Krishnaveni's family were
-Cinematography intensified the movie's experience with purposeful camera movements. The push-in shots brought us closer to the action and highlighted important details we wanted to see in the characters
-KPAC Lalitha stole the show :D She was the pillar of the house, very vocal yet adorable. She annoyed us, amused us, and touched us
-Through the film, we realized that our society usually attributes old age to engaging in monotonous and dull activities and taking care of grandchildren. A term referred as 'social conditioning'
BLAND
---Ilango, unfortunately, did not win our hearts. The acting appeared unnatural, even the way he was delivering lines seemed very superficial. This was quite disappointing because he had the lead role
-Though being a comedy, the big surprise was that we didn't laugh much during the movie;
there were more reflective moments when we were wondering what we would do in this or that case as opposed to being carried away by the humor.

A good family movie , nothing more to say abt the movie just a different concept and a way of entertaining, could connect with me and the family satyaraj oorvasi and balaji did perfect , not much comedy and the songs were ok, one time watchable available in zee5 pls do watch it.

A fifty year old couple decides to have a child but their surroundings doesn't help them . Elango (played by rj balaji) a biolgy teacher who openly talks about sex education in his school but when he put up in a tabooed situation how he reacts is also a subtext in this film. How the family members gets to know values and accept the change is the rest of the story.
Elango's family lives in quarters when he wants to get his loved one in home when no one in home the fellow members are like villan to them he makes a drauma to make this happen .
Even in 50's the couple are lovable to each other when a child grew up watching them he/she takes some good values from them.
In original the film ends us in emotional but here the creators done a fabulous 10 minutes stretch and that is the funniest in the film.
At last a respectable remake with the updation of social values.

family laughter made after several decades

This film is probably the only film that has been made after several decades that you can watch with your entire family, especially with your parents since the film itself is purely based on them in a very emotional/funny way.
It is a laughter emotional ride if you're attached to your family very much and like watching films like vaanathai pola.
Urvasi stands out and excels in every single scene where you'll notice that there's just no glitch at all in her characterisation and the way it has been played and made, it was nothing but perfection.
Although you'd know the overall plot from the film's trailer itself, it'll still make you laugh and cry, that's probably the strength of this film.
Although for 2K kids, this film probably isn't going to touch them.
Still, I feel that the film could've been bettered up with some more twists & turns as there really was no surprise element in the film at all and that's one of the cons of this film.

Emotional and laugh riot

As we all know it's the official remake of Badhai Ho but on comparing it with the original this is more of a complete laugh riot made for Tamil audience make it a complete family entertainer. Amazing performances from Sathiraj, Urvashi and RJ Balaji and not forget the grandmother character with steal the show. Must watch with family .
Worth a watch.

Fun family entertainment. Full of emotions and as a fan of rj Balaji direction ..got just what I wanted pakka family entertainer and a middle class story. More like rj Balaji is side role and sathyaraj and urvashi lead role kudos to him for doing that. Aparna looks lost in modern costume but had a meaty role. Pugazh is blink and miss ithuku Ivan ivolo build up too much than. In the end a fun filled family entertainer. 600 characters for a review what is imbd expecting lol professional reviewers dude I just want to share my 2 cent of the movie . Well I guess I can type more bla bla bla to make up for it.
