Such a disappointment

Maybe it's because I grew up on these games, maybe it's because the animation looks worse then the original made 8 years prior, or perhaps it was the subpar gear enemies and story line, but I wasn't even able to finish it (maybe it got a lot better at the end but doubt it), after all the time spent with jak and daxter through all the years, it was sad to see their precious memory degraded like this

Probably The Worst Of The Jak And Daxter Series

Warning: Spoilers
The story is that the world is running out of Eco, so Jak, Daxter and Kiera must travel around the world to find the "Eco Source." The story for the game is rather a let-down for me. The Jak And Daxter trilogy had great storytelling, plot twists and character arcs. Here, the plot of the game is too simple and bland for a Jak And Daxter game.

The Graphics of the game are very good, but aren't up to the standered of the previous games. The colors are good, the effects are decent and the character animations are very good. However, they seem to lack that cartoon element that the previous games had. Through my playing of the PS2 and PSP versions, I have found no differences in the game.

The gameplay is your typical Jak And Daxter. Half platformer, and half 3rd person shooter. The game features some interesting puzzles and platforming, but I found myself bored many times throughout. The game just didn't keep my attention like the other games did, and the game didn't provide much of a challenge for me.

The sound of the game is like most of the Jak And Daxter games. The music works well, but isn't all that memorable. In fact, I hardly noticed the music while I was playing. The sound effects are very good and fit the game perfectly. The controls of the game are pretty good too, but you have much less moves than in the previous entries.

Overall, my recommendation is that you buy this game only if you are a Jak And Daxter fan. If you are a casual gamer who is just looking for a good platformer, it's best to look else where. The game is certainly the lesser of the francise, but makes for an acceptable game over all. I don't love the game like i should, but as it stands, i give it a 7/10.

Jak And Daxter: The Lost Frontier = 7/10
