Great, except for that damn song...

All episodes are gems, and this is no exception. My only quibble is personal, and in no way should reflect negatively on the show: "Seasons in the Sun", in my not-so-humble opinion, is the absolute worst song of all time, and I've heard a lot of bad songs. I'm old enough to remember when it came out. I had a visceral reaction to it the first time I heard it, and I still do. I'm playing "Court and Spark" now as an antidote. I had to fast-forward through the sections with the accursed song in the background, so I hope I didn't miss any important plot points.

That being said, if anyone is still with me after my rant, this series doesn't stop getting better. What a masterful balance of comedy and drama, hinging on secrets and lies, as most great comedies and dramas do. Highly recommended to see with a friend.

Episode 303

The third season is still kind of entertaining, but I also feel like a lot of the heart of the show is gone. There is not enough zany drama, they're not leaving their location to really go anywhere, it just seems to be Judy and Jen exchanging back and forth dialogue, which is not quite as strong as it was in past seasons.

I hope we get something surprising in the final few episodes though. They're doing a good job throwing us a last minute twist in each of the three episodes, but I keep waiting for that big moment to drop of something really comedic, really dramatic or just shocking in general to amaze me.
