Not too terrible
LetsReviewThat261 April 2024
A job to die for might be up there with not the worst ones. In fact certain parts were pretty good and I did enjoy it to an extent. Revell carpenter plays Sadie. A down on her luck twenty something that wants to go into fashion but can't get anywhere till one day she gets a call. Claudia some big wig designer wants her. But it's not all it seems as Sadie is being stalked by someone that warms her. Sadie's car is messed up and that starts the series of events leading up to the conclusion. I will also say that the ending is not something that I thought it would have turned out like. A job to die for is not terrible really but I think the script always bring them down in the end.

Oh Sweet Jesus this is TERRIBLE!

This movie is UNIMAGINABLY bad. These are usually fun not-great MOWs, no high expectations, but this was terrible. No humor, very clumsy photography and direction. Just looking at the front picture and knowing this is a movie about fashion executives with folk at the helm who have no idea what that world is. Stupid and unforgivable.

Not the Right Fit
lavatch27 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The principal environment for "Fit to Kill" (aka, "A Job to Die For") is the fashion industry. Young Sadie gets a dream job working for the famous fashion designer, Miss Claudia Moreau. Unfortunately, the dream turns into a nightmare.

It was disappointing that the film did not portray enough of the world of fashion. Sadie's job was nothing more than a glorified go-fer, answering the phone, keeping track of Miss Moreau's calendar, and housesitting her in a sterile mansion.

While Sadie's college loans were paid off, there was no hands-on experience for her. And as Miss Moreau's behavior became increasingly erratic, it was problematic that Sadie would stick around in this dead-end job. Even the detective advises Sadie to take her resume elsewhere. Sadie should have recognized instantly that this position was not the right fit.

One of the best scenes in the film was when Sadie finally stood up to Miss Moreau. The screenplay also included a good twist that occurred in the warehouse. Despite the insufficient emphasis on the world of fashion, the costuming choices in this film were well-executed, especially the outfits designed for Sadie, who appeared more "classy" as the film progressed. Even if she was not designing a creative line of clothes, at least she was wearing them.

The worst movie of this century
rabidduck-9687523 October 2023
HOW can ANYONE rate this movie a 9/10?? It's beyond terrible. Stay away! Don't spend your valuable time on this. You will never get your time back.

Bad acting, Stupid plot, filming is uneven and makes you seasick at times. Lifetime movies are not great to begin with, but this one hits an all time low.

The worst part is that the concept in itself could make a pretty good movie, and there's not even the need for a massive budget to make it happen, but the execution here is just so half hearted and lame, to the point you won't even be able to have a laugh while you cringe.

Only watch if your life depends on it..

Smart and fun thriller!
This is a smart and fun thriller that feels like if you put DEVIL WEARS PRADA through the Lifetime blender. Fun characters (particularly the evil career woman played by Maeve Quinlan) and snappy dialogue make it stand above the normal Lifetime fare, which almost NEVER has a sense of humor. Great twist at the end!
