Scent of Linden was just, WOW! We laughed, we cried, and we laughed some more!! Such a charming and touching story that just left me with all the feels. Incredibly directed, and the entire cast and crew was superb. I also have to mention all the music composed was a perfect compliment throughout the entire film. I hope everyone is able to see this heartwarming story that shares the trials and tribulations, and love and support of this close knit group of Bulgarians as they try to acclimate to life in America. You will absolutely fall in love with the heart and soul of these characters and want more time with them!

Subtle humor if you ask me.

This movie caught me by surprise. It took me some time to coordinate reading subtitles without paying much attention to the language spoken by the actors. The one situation, which was the opening situation at the airport, when a friend of the family was being picked up, caught me by surprise, I kept wondering why the driver didn't understand or the passenger didn't understand the situation with the parking lot attendant but this all came to pass and it was quite amusing.
What really amazed me also was the fact that these individuals appeared to have been somewhat intellectual, and very bright, and we're having to be given only menial jobs based upon their education.

Beautiful story that is well written, well directed and well acted. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll feel what the characters feel. I enjoyed the flow of this film. It's a great story about the Bulgarian community in America. The trials and tribulations that immigrants go through while chasing the American dream. It feels like a big studio indie film. The imagery in Memphis, TN where the most of the film takes place, gives you a hometown vibe that I really enjoyed. A close knit group of people that embraces family drama! You connect with the main character and feel everything he is going through during the story. Would recommend this film to anyone.

I really liked this movie. It was humorous. It was touching. I felt I knew the characters right away. It portrayed difficulties encountered by immigrants but not in a heavy handed way. The cast was wonderful and perfectly natural in their roles. The music was really good complementing but not overwhelming the scenes. I'm not normally a fan of subtitles but these were easy to follow without being distracting from the actors and scenes. All in all this is a very pleasant, very real movie. Although the focus is a small community of Bulgarian immigrants, the trials and triumphs they experience are very relatable just on a human level.
