Well played remake - but no comedy
OJT6 December 2022
"Full dekning" is a remake of Italian "Perfect Strangers", which is remade in a lot of countries.

Tis movie features a bunch of well known Norwegian actors who are doing their best and therefore this is still interesting, even after seeing the others.

It's always best to see the first film of a story, which ever it is, and so is Perfect Strangers still the beste in my eyes, but this comes in as a sure second.

Still, making another remake of a movie still tells a little fatigue of new ideas and scripts, and that's the most worrying about this.

It's a little sad that we have to make remakes of perfectly good movies. If we don't have anything to add, don't do it.

That said, the actors are doing such a great job here, i still would recommend this.

Elevated by a talented, appealing cast

A clever premise nicked from the 2016 Italian movie "Perfetti sconosciuti" by Paolo Genovese in which seven 40-something friends - three couples and a single guy - challenge each other to read every text they receive out loud and put every phone call on speakerphone during their couples dinner. Will they be able to stand by their claim that they have nothing to hide? This Norwegian version has a talented, appealing cast and well-worded dialogue by writer Lars Gudmestad, a combination which makes it a thoroughly enjoyable and at times very funny albeit always rather lightweight dissection of modern life. Incidentally, Genovese's film became the most remade film in cinema history already a couple of years before Full dekning was released, having been remade in more than 20 countries.
