Could it be true? Is Upstate New York, specifically the Poughkeepsie area, turning into a hotbed for horror? It's no secret that one of my favorite horror fests is the Hudson Horror Show, presented in the Silver Cinemas South Hills 8. Now we can add another twisted event to the SilCin's calendar. On November 5 Glen Baisley premieres his newest film, Fairview Falls, for local residents. And the best part? It's free, free, free!
Fairview Falls is Baisley's fourth feature film, and by reading the info on the film below, you'll see it deals with some pretty heavy subject matter.
Kudos to Baisley for setting up this screening and for making it available for a very reasonable price. Maybe Poughkeepsie, NY can someday take its place amongst the other horror Meccas: Salem, Ma; Rosewell, Nm; Poughkeepsie ... I can see it now!

Indie filmmaker Glen Baisley gave Fango the first look at the cover and the content info for Sins Of The Father, his third feature in the series begun with Fear Of The Dark and The Tenement. Sins hits disc from Burning Moon Pictures December 1.
The movie wraps up Baisley’s trilogy centering on the Black Rose Killer, following Peter Jacobs (Richard Redmond) as he returns to the town of Fairview Falls to dig up the truth behind the slaying of his family. What he finds is that the killer (Pete Barker) is now dying, and the story also incorporates flashbacks to his younger self (the late Joe Lauria). Canadian genre actress Isabelle Stephen co-stars, and the movie will be accompanied on the DVD by:
Audio commentary by the filmmakers and cast “Behind the Horror: A Look Back at the Trilogy” featurette Deleted/extended scenes “House of the Black Rose Killer...
