What an absolutely ridiculous episode to end an increasingly ridiculous season. Jill, who wanted the premature baby unit long before she lost her baby, is suddenly convinced she's fighting for it because of her loss and caves to the men.
Moira has her baby in 5 minutes (oh, please) and because she's afraid to speak up she decides the best course of action is to take her baby and not to go towards town but to the edge of a cliff. Of course Ormerod saves the baby and Moira dies (who didn't see that coming a mile away?) so he and Jill can adopt her.
The amount of death and destruction around these characters is utterly unrealistic and the episodes get more unbelievable, contrived and silly as they go on. Like many medical dramas, they start off great but devolve into drama, peril and death among the main characters - many of whom aren't around long enough to get invested in - rather than compelling stories about the patients.
I doubt I'll continue binge watching this series as these last few episodes have been so over the top that I've lost interest.
