What a waste
Lucas477210 September 2023
I went to see the movie without any big expectations. What a complete waste of time and money. Not worth the paper the posters were printed on.

Subpar on every level.

The "actors" involved had worse emotional performance then the wooden dolls in Team America. Reading the lines and then acting on what was being said. No chemistry within any of the cast.

Action sequences were laughable and terrible at the same time.

Film students can make a better impression with camera work than anyone who shot this. Plot was barely there, filled with cliches after cliches.

Only way I can describe the high rating of this movie is that the people involved rated it.

C tier movie
Xavier_Stone13 September 2023
Like some other reviewers have mentioned, this is abysmal. Tons of 1 review accounts giving this praise saying that it keeps the audience engaged. Engaged to their phones.

Right off the dialogue is just off. This silly acting becomes obvious a few moments later and it's just all downhill. Why are you filming a fight scene two feet from the actors? Probably so we don't notice how bad it is and the angles can hide the obvious misses. I'm wondering if the camera men took a few hits filming this.

The same background music and they couldn't afford genuine squibs for gun shot hits. It seems like this was done in the 90's and is lost footage. Cheesy all the way through.

Unwatchable Feels like a High School Project
a-kastenas23 November 2023
This movie in my opinion is highly unwatchable. I tried watching it for a first few movies and then I found a way to see whether it's worth my time.

Fast Forwarding movie to random scenes: I had an opportunity to fast forward movie to select some random scenes to see whether the acting improves. To no surprise scenes are unwatchable.

Why I stopped watching this: The reason is simple - flat acting, poor budget, cheap looking and hastily selected environment for filming. There is nothing redeemable about how actors play.

I understand perfect that it is basically a hobby project a movie made by amateurs for amateurs. It's Simply not worth it.

Try to fast forward to random scenes and see whether you like it.

Super fun independent feature that has potential to be a franchise.
stevensabell-228727 September 2023
Sirona is an independent sci-fi/thriller feature film produced by a small group of friends in Colorado. The film has a ton of heart that shows throughout. You can really see the passion these filmmakers had for the film from beginning to end. For having such a small budget with no corporate backing, this film came out with some pretty insane quality and cinematics. Highly recommend for anyone trying to stay in and have a nice movie night while supporting small-budget independent films. I would love to see a sequel, maybe even a third part, to the growing Sirona franchise. By the end of the film, I felt like I knew these characters and became friends with them. I would love more Cross, Miller, Tuck, Campbell, and Sirona please!

Return the Bio-weapon
nogodnomasters12 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is another experimental girl who escapes from the facility film. Sirona (Ashlynn Hideman) has healing powers. Her brother Damien (Cass Braido) can kill people with his touch. They both escape the Valkyrie facility and Damien doesn't make it. A group of mercenaries are hired to find her for a big paycheck. When they discover it is just a scared kid, they question the mission which causes a rift in the group.

This was a low-budget film, cheap on special effects. The acting and script could have been better. Tuck (Wesley Clark) was the guy who gave us some comedy, but his delivery was off as was much of the cast. Not bad for a low budget. Open for sequel.

Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity. Free on Tubi.

Excellent plot, leaves us wanting more.
dalsphotography17 December 2023
Just watched the movie, and as someone else here stated, the movie is really good, taking into account it's an indie one.

I have seen far worst movies staging superheroes, than this one, so I don't really know why it's just few stars.

Good plot, keeps you attentive, in general good actors, Using real world known stuff such as labs that work with genome, and groups that are hired for killing other people. (Mercenaries) .

Movie definetely diserves a sequel. Please remove that bad rating!

Kudos to a dedicated team and I do hope you might have the chance to make the second part of this movie, with the same kind of good and ellaborated plot as you have done till now. Next one can really explore more about what science can do with genomics.

Enjoyable indie film!
vacantstare18 September 2023
I rented this on VUDU for a family movie night, and all of us very much enjoyed it! For a production of this budget it has a good amount of action, with a cast who gives it their all and quite a few surprising bits of humor. 'Sirona' has elements reminiscent of an ensemble action film like 'The Losers', but it has even closer comparisons to TV shows like 'Firefly'. It feels like a pilot episode of a series rather than a feature film, with an ending that is more of a setup for a sequel than a resolution of the mystery surrounding the title character - but it does a good job of making you want to see where the next installment leads. Cast and crew should be proud of what they've done here, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the filmmaker does next after this laudable debut effort.

Impressive!
savannaguffy6 September 2023
You have to go into this knowing it might be a concept you've heard before, but he did really well making it his own. For this film to be one of his firsts I was extremely impressed. I thought it would be on and I'd be on my phone but nope. I was sucked in! Tuck was actually my favorite character, I love a good comedic relief! I caught myself laughing out loud multiple times by his character. I loved the twist and it kept me engaged through the whole thing. I was bummed when it ended because i wanted to see more! I'd love to see more from him and would love to see a sequel to this one! A great watch, I'd recommend!

I happen to like it.
unityhaven25 October 2023
I didn't know it was an indie film, so it's pretty good for not having a Hollywood budget.

I REALLY liked that despite nearly constant conflict, it wasn't rife with constant profanity, like most Hollywood films are these days.

One should be able to just watch a film, and the story unfold, without the distraction of nearly constant profanity. In that sense, those that worked on this film, are far more mature than most Hollywood script writers. Call me old school, which I am.

Anyway, my favorite character was Tuck, because of his witty comments, and empathetic nature, which seem to be a nod to Murdock, of The A Team. Well, I saw a similarity anyway.

I think the actors & actresses did a good job, of showing the character traits of each person.

I hope there's a sequel.

Loved it
abbykatp7 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I loved this film! It was super interesting and I loved all of the scenery used in Colorado, everything was so beautiful. I am so excited for the second movie, I can't wait to see what happens next! The storyline was super easy to follow and very entertaining to watch. It's great to see films being produced by local people, I'd love to see more from the studio. All of the actors did a great job, as well as people behind the scenes creating the score and costumes and everything that went along with the film! It was really well done, I'm so proud of my fellow Coloradans And what they've accomplished!

A lot of heart!
marshallguffy6 September 2023
Sirona is a film made in Colorado by Coloradans. I love how they used our beautiful state as the setting, with some really nice landscape shots, and made the movie without the big Hollywood sets and over the top effects.

The story has heart and the characters are likable, especially Tuck, who brought some great comic relief to what is essentially a tragic story. You can really tell that the cast and crew had a great time making this movie as the chemistry between the leads is obvious. I applaud Wesley Clark's first effort and I really hope this one takes off so he can continue his career in filmmaking.

This is an independent film through and through and with the way things are going with these studios in Hollywood, we all need to support the independents in a major way. Check the movie out, you will not be disappointed!!

Great film
brianbylund7 September 2023
This was a great independent film with a great cast of characters.

I love that it was filmed local without any major sponsors. It is easy to see the hard work the short list of people involved did to pull of the task of all things from fund raising, casting, filming and editing to get this little gem on the big screen. It will be fun to watch the cast from this film as they move on from here to other films and hopefully a sequel to this one.

This film has several elements to keep you engaged and looking for more. I hope this will continue to be noticed and get the support it needs to be a success.
