- Two brothers plan to spend quality time together on a weekend hike, but when things go wrong they are forced to confront a rift in their relationship.
- Adam (39) invites his brother Ben (42) on a weekend hike to the mourne mountains, hoping to spend more quality time with him after the death of their mother. They begin with a hike to an ancient pagan burial site, and Adam is delighted when they start to open up to each other and reminisce about their childhood. As night falls, Ben's phone runs out of battery. When they arrive at their accommodation, an isolated cottage, they are locked out. They argue and resolve to sleep in the car. As night falls, they light a campfire and talk about their childhood, and flashbacks reveal both Adam's depression and Ben's struggle with their mother's illness. They argue into the night, when finally Adam reveals his struggle with mental illness, culminating in a suicide attempt, to Ben. The next morning, Adam wakes up at the campfire to find Ben is missing. Hearing a distant noise, he walks to a clearing where he finds Ben swimming in a lake. Adam jumps in and they swim together, laughing. Back at the car, they agree that all their problems are forgotten and drive home together.—Will McConnell
