Pretty good....But
Jiszmo24 May 2022
This was pretty good, albeit a bit more nonsensical even than some of the previous ones. I love this series in general. However, there does seem to be an increase in the amount of murderers they don't turn in, and even shelter.

Other than that, it is fairly typical of this series. There is no longer a bus though, or any passengers. I do miss that aspect. Now the star couple are private investigators. I guess that is to be expected. How many murders can these guys logically encounter as a bus tour, even in a spoof comedy. The private investigator angle does seem like a natural evolution.

My one main gripe, as is common for English TV shows, there is a married gay couple. I notice this in extremely high numbers in English TV shows. It's a pet peeve of mine. I quit most shows that even have it. And, thanks to TV I have completely changed my stance on it, from supportive to completely opposed. Thanks TV for helping me make up my mind.

The Bunny Trap
Prismark1030 November 2021
Gemma and Terry are back. Now they play inept detectives as they wait for an insurance claim on their coach.

As they look to get evidence that a female market trader is cheating on her husband.

A run of the mill Bunny figurine at their own stall leads to a bidding war and the possibility of the two of them being rich when the Bunny is auctioned off.

Little knowing that the Bunny has left a trail of mayhem and murder.

Murder on the Blackpool Express was a passable but daft murder mystery. The subsequent movies got worse and now it has been spun off into a television series.

I admit that the show is meant to be daft. It has an uneasy balance of grisly murders and comedy. This is just botched with a poor script, unfunny comedy and Johnny Vegas is all at sea with his non acting skills.

Quite inane
Psalm_3721 February 2022
I'd never watched any of the movies with these characters before watching this episode on Britbox. If they were as inane as this episode, then I'm glad that I missed them.

The male lead character is a complete twit and I found myself cursing him voraciously at times for his stupidity. The female lead character wasn't much better.

I can't say that I'm surprised that they are having to live with Gemma's sister because it's obvious that these two are unemployable. Why they think that they can be detectives baffles me.

I'll give the remaining episodes a miss. You should, too.

Waste of time

One of the most vacuous tv shows I have ever watched. A total time waster filled with inane characters. Shame on you BBC. Why did I turn it on?! Just the name of it should have been a clue.
