In addition to having the most extremely British name of all time, Benedict Cumberbatch also has one of the most interesting-yet-neglected acting careers emerging from across the pond. I first noticed him as the narrator of BBC's stunning nature series South Pacific (which was broadcast in the Us as Wild Pacific with Mike Rowe taking over narration), but I soon learned he's far more than just an incredibly distinctive voice. Brits will no doubt recognize him from a number of TV shows, but unless you caught the dark comedy Four Lions on the fest circuit, most Yanks are bound to have only seen him in Joe Wright's Atonement (he played the very creepy Paul Marshall).
