I watched this movie with my family and it was very interesting and relaxed. I laughed often during the movie and enjoyed the music, scenery and amazing acting by the whole cast, Izudin Bajrovic's acting was exquisite and the best in the whole movie.

Entertaining movie (especially for locals)

Danis created an entertaining movie about the most popular Bosnian dish, but also more about the spirit of Sarajevo (especially Old Town).
Movie may be most entertaining to locals, as people not living in Sarajevo may sometimes have hard time to fully understand dialogues and behavior of main characters.
Izudin Bajrovic' performance was really exceptional, as well as performance of Goran Navojec, a Croatian actor, who really adapted a great local accent.

Movie is not a master piece, but a simple picture of the ordinary owners of Sarajevo restaurants. What I see as a biggest critics is that movie plot highly resembles the Little Italy movie form 2018. However, the Sarajevo shots at the most attractive locations and scent of Bosnian humor give the movie different dimension and it is easy to watch.

It was a great idea to make the movie's main premise about one of the factors that define the culture of Sarajevo. Pair that up with a couple of intricate and fun relationships among the main characters and you have a brilliant 90 minute watch that will keep you interested throughout the entire movie. That being said, I do feel that the movie will resonate best with the locals that are familiar with the city's tradition and the mindset of the people who live here.

The movie does what it aims to do, it depicts the core Sarajevo and it's people. There is a side story that is mostly irrelevant (Djuro's missing truck), but the main focus is of course, Cevapi. For someone not from Bosnia it will be hard to understand the relations Bosnians have but that's just how it is. I enjoyed it and I was actually quite hungry after this movie.

Sarajevo has quite good cevapi dish but it would be crime not to mention Tuzla, Travnik or Banja Luka and places like Limenka, Sarajka, Hari, Zeljo, Kod Muje.

Bosnian version of movie Little Italy. Copy paste. I expected more from this movie, especially this director, but at the end it is just remake of movie Little Italy adjusted to Bosnia or Balkan.
It is easy to watch, the movie is suitable for all family, but as mentioned before, nothing more than a Balkan version of movie Little Italy.
The worst thing is that, based on the actors quality i expected much better presentation.
I don't think that i will ever see it again.
I spoke to some friends from Sarajevo, they also saud that they expected more, knowing that this meal is famous in Bosnia.
Better luck next time

An honest and true story about love, friendship and gastronomy that can only happen in Sarajevo, the only city that has a soul. Directing and acting are at an enviable level and it is amazing how well and realistically the film portrays people, their nature, the city and the lifestyle in it. This is a lovely warm story presented in an authentic way.

A great movie that has everything you need for an Oscar. Impeccable actors of high acting ability who act so naturally. Sarajevo's unique environment and warm-hearted people who live their lives at their own pace. The acting is perfect and Danis Tanovic has once again shown his very good directing skills. I watched the movie with my family and we all relaxed and laughed. This is not just a film about cevapi, this is a film about one nation, country and culture. I recommend this masterpiece to all fans of good film.

As bosnian, I did not see more realistic movie. The story is all about famous tradition of famous bosnian dish - chevapi. Actors are realy good, and many of them are famous from earlier bosnian TV shows. Fascinating is how movie shows real well known local names, celebrities and domestic brands. Many details are not understood except from bosnians, such as thunders and tilted wall photo in specific situations. Choice of music and songs is amazing, so related to the scenes, but probably not understandable by younger generations raised after the war. The movie is rich with comic situations and full of love and friendship mesages. I recomend it for family nights.

An absolute mess of a movie and utterly boring. There is nothing of substance here, only a skeleton of a story. Tanovic clearly couldn't make up his mind about what kind of movie he wanted to make. So, it's a comedy, but drama, but also action, and, ultimately, nothing.
Oh, let's not forget the scene in which Bregovic is asking for the restroom. It adds nothing and it isn't funny, so what is the purpose of it? Is it there just for the sake of it?
There are some good actors here and so it's a shame that their talent was wasted. I feel sorry and a bit embarrassed for them. Awful movie. Pick something else to watch.
