Can I really be this annoyed by a character? I guess so

There are evil characters who make a great show.

There are ambiguous characters who make a great show.

There are good guy/gal characters who make a great show.

Keen is none of those. I have had real trouble putting my finger on why she is so annoying, and I think this episode finally helped me figure it out.

The writers simultaneously have her playing the "good mom who's just looking out for her daughter" - a role suited for the Actress Boone - while at the same time having her pop into the car of an FBI agent, hijack his operation while stealing his croissant, and blithely engage in black ops like kidnapping a Russian spy.

The actress just doesn't have the range for this. She doesn't fit the "evil, black ops planning" role at all. It is just unbelievable - especially when she's so cheerily talking about how her daughter is doing great.

It is incongruous and torturous to watch.

This episode could have been pretty good, but the moments with Keen on the screen were just annoying.

Time to get rid of her, and find a real villain (like Townsend) instead.

And it is becoming intolerable.

She infects everyone with very bad things The other actors become naive in her presence and thus the episode is then collapses.

Is the manic behavior of Keen due to ego, memory manipulation, repeated head injuries, or the warrior gene? That croissant scene is an embarrassment to this choppily edited, poorly directed episode. Many dialogues were "phoned in". I love the show but not the episode.

Every time Aram opens his mouth and defends Keen. I cannot believe this.

She is a criminal and they are still on her side instead of investigating to find her. What the hell?

And Boone's acting is so bad. And her character trying to be nice and talk sweetly to her ex-colleagues.

Episode 16: Average and interesting at the same time, though, some decisions, actions and dialogues are straight horrible.

It's dragging, not having a clue where to go and ruining all the acting. It's become a tasteless jelly being badly shaken and the end result will be a mess. In 6 episodes!

Keen is not the problem, the writers are. The Blacklist has become such a show as to have scenes of Liz and Aram over a croissant!

Abduction of a Russian

This episode begins with Becker, he shot Bryan to death. The next name on The Blacklist: Nicholas Obenrader, he works together with Townsend. Rocco is Liz her bodyguard from now on. Ressler arrested Obenrader. Red's friend is named Ivan Stepanov, before known as Eastern Friend. Park got shot down by a fake FBI agent, but it was all just a setup. Red organized it, he has Obenrader. Liz arranged Priya for Townsend. Ivan got ubducted by Townsend. Ivan tells to Townsend that Katarina Rostova was N-13. Solid Episode of The Blacklist Season 8, Ivan got ubducted by Townsend. What will happen with him?

Becoming more unrealistic every episode

The entertainment value is not in question. But, the realism is completely out the window. Anybody with any sense knows that the FBI cannot operate abroad. Yet, they seem to be doing it more all the time.

I didn't mind this episode - in fact I thought it was quite better than the past few episodes. I think the promo made this episode less appealing, opposite to how the promo of 815 pumped it up, when it wasn't even that enjoyable as an episode.

Things to take away: -I liked how there were a lot of elements at play, at times, I felt like there were too many characters (guest stars) being named and introduced and it just got a bit confusing... -Parks clothing has got to change, she was in five different outfits the whole ep, from yellow, to red to black... -Liz was less annoying but still annoying.

-Please stop going to Paris (France) we have been there so many times it is not funny, go to Greece, Italy or Spain - its nice to change it up.

-I really enjoyed Townsend and the EFriend progression.

Overall a fun episode.

Not Keen

Keen is becoming more and more unbelievable every week and it is ruining an otherwise excellent show. As described in another review people become unrealistically naive in her presence and the whole plot falls to pieces because of it. The show is rescued by the character of Reddington but even that is a struggle now. It is becoming hard work watching this so time to stop...

The writers are lazy and keep trying to make Keen look like a hero. It's never going to work. There is nothing you can do that can redeem her character, assuming Boon can even act. Just kill off Keen, focus more on Red and add a new worthy villain in the show and then you're on your way to keeping things interesting.

I have seen every episode and loved the first six seasons. James Spader is amazing. But the Keen character has ruined the show. I have now come to hate all the FBI characters as well who continue to sympathize with her and help her-- pathetic. The writers have turned a great show into a terrible show, Please kill her!!!! Save the show!

My God... it's getting even more unbearable watching keene every episode.

At the end of the previous one, she got to Townsend and bullied him lol.. let's first forget her walking easily through his hallway and bashing him.. and also this episode that apparently he forgot all about it.. what are the odds he'd just let it go like that? 0 or never?

Another thing, are ressler and the other dude completey morons? Don't answer that.. they are and keene has her plot armor going on but come on how long do we have to endure this madness? Just off her and focus on Red.

PLEASE write Liz out permanently

She is so annoying! And not in a wow this actor has made me hate this character. As in she makes me want to turn the show off! I'm with everyone else - Spader is killing it -Boone makes me ill. The rest of the cast is carrying their weight nicely and the scripts have been able to keep story flowing. If this ends with her being a regular character again I simply won't be able to watch it. I'm already wondering if I can get to the end of the season...

Oh, and the whole croissant scene really was so much more annoying than cute...smh.

This season has dragged out too long First Keen is just stupid Her obsession on finding N13 is boring and I do not find the N13 to be significant N13 is supposed to be a person who is a Russian mole delivering secrets to the enemy supposedly Russia but this has been happening last 30 years Is this believable ? Probably not I never see the CIA involved in this show about this which I suspect they would know more about this than the FBI The task force love for Keen is nauseating. Her interest Is only finding.information for her interests She is a murderer with no compassion and bring no useful information to the task force to stop criminals So far she has not brought in Townsend who supposedly was responsible for going after her mother We need to have Keen and Townsend assainated and Agnes should be raised by Remington who would do a better job than this worthless uncompassionate histrionic mother.

The writers must think that we, the audience, are idiots. That's how they're treating us by writing Liz as some kind of a mastermind who's figured out how to "do it all" as Aram asks her. She can be a thief, a genius, a wonderful mother & a former maybe future, FBI agent without breaking a sweat. Really? Because in the past she barely got a clue without Red feeding it to her. What I find the most galling, is that after years & years of Redd taking care of her, looking out for her, even rescuing her from a fire, she turns on him when her Mommy shows up. Said mommy isn't the least bit maternal, or even kind, and she lied to Liz, murdered a man in front of her grand kid, posed as a neighbor, and abandoned Liz when she was a child. Yet Lizzy jumps to HER defense? She turns on Red & believes every word a known liar says, a liar who nearly murdered Red. But none of that matters, because Lizzy knows her mother's heart is pure, & that she's not N-13, Red is. Because she said it. I don't even care who N-13 is, because no matter what, I love James Spader & his multifaceted portrayal of Red, I love Dembe, and most of the other actors. But not Megan Boone or Liz. She's a horrible actress, and given lousy lines she makes them worse like the croissant stealing scene. I mean I just wanted to punch her, and Aram too for being so weak. Resseller too, is thinking with his man junk. Are they kidding with being slavishly loyal to a horrible person & a fugitive? She should've been under arrest in the car, not able to assist. And how has she gotten a crew together? She's nothing more than an hysterical lunatic screaming about how her possible daddy wronged her & her Mommy when there's no proof any of it happened, and Red's character is way better than hers is.

This season, I've only enjoyed the episodes she wasn't in. When she reappeared, her actions are directly responsible for Annie's death. Yet, Liz has no remorse or sorrow about that. Annie was just an unintended consequence in her vendetta for Red. Despicable.

Liz has gone too far to be redeemed, & quite frankly the show was much better without her on it. Her storyline makes no sense & we fans are 100% behind Red. We feel loyalty to him, something she should too. She's become useless & more annoying than I/we can stand. I'm ready to FF her scenes or stop watching the show. My husband is getting cranky, & I'm yelling at the TV when she's on. Please kill her off. Red & Dembe can raise her kid. No loss, big gain.
