  Black Lightning : [with a sigh]  Well, here goes nothing.

  [a dog walker lets his pet do his business behind a fire hydrant] 

  Black Lightning : Oh, so you're the reason I had to throw away a brand-new pair of high-tops, Mr. I-Forgot-the-Scoop-At-Home. And, lady, didn't you get the memo? No white after Labor Day!

  Batman : Not exactly the deep core of emotional trauma I expected.

  Black Lightning : [a car pulls up behind him, the driver honking her horn]  You drive a vehicle that big just to haul a bag of groceries?

  Batman : Black Lightning, you need to relax and get ahold of yourself.

  Black Lightning : Relax? How can I relax when I know something like that...

  Black Lightning : ...is coming to a theater near me?

  Batman : [Lightning fires bolts of electricity]  That won't solve anything.

  Black Lightning : You're right. I have to go after the filmmakers.

  Batman : You're a superhero. You're bigger than this.

  Black Lightning : You know what else makes me angry? Superheroes wearing capes!

• Psycho Pirate : Congratulations, Batman. You've snatched two succulent courses from my jaws. But I still have room for dessert.

  Black Lightning : Well, the worst is over. Once we spring Metamorpho, we're home free, right?

  Batman : Don't be so sure.

  Black Lightning : You kidding? Happy-go-lucky Metamorpho? I've never once seen him lose his temper.

  Batman : [seeing Metamorpho's face appear in clouds in the sky]  Looks like you're about to.

  Metamorpho : [shrinking down to normal]  Aw, sorry, guys. My bad.
