I like it but...

Warning: Spoilers
I do like the show...fun, creepy entertainment. It's not Emmy material and doesn't need to be. It's just campy fun. However in this episode, Lexy confronts Jake at the hospital and they decide to go back to her house to find Chucky and kill him. Lexy is wearing a blue outfit. When she gets to her house she's wearing something completely different. Petty? Yeah I guess so but I didn't think she needed to find a different set of clothes to kill a possessed doll with red hair.

So Good

The drama that started out as your average "teen age drama/horror" has now gone to another level.

I bet no one watching would have expected a drama with so many 'young adults' in its cast to reach such a mature level.

Ps: Zachary and Bjorgvin... That's All.

Awesome episode, Chucky's back!!
paulfrancocs13 November 2021
A pretty decent chapter, no better than the previous one, but I think they are doing things well in the series. I felt there were a few unnecessary little things, but okay. Sure the next chapter will be brutal.

Nica Pierce, it's your turn!

Oh, brilliant. Brilliant!

Warning: Spoilers
Man. I already am falling in love with the theme song! I 100% changed my mind about Lexy being killed off. She deserved to have a redemption arc, and she is developing one! From what we saw from the flashbacks - after Charles Lee Ray was presumably caught killing his mother. He was put in a house where all of the "bad kids" go for two years. Eventually one day, he played a game with the children to find this "Captain Jack". They walked throughout the forest, and discover the same guy who bothered Charles Lee Ray (( the Janitor )) with his neck slit, and his right arm cut out. I have to say Chucky looks terrifying more than ever. Although, I do wish that Chucky kept the old scars he has gained over the years for the fan service.

Overall, the plot is thickening each episode. I have to say that my new personal favorite kill is the one where Chucky throws a scalpel to that guy's spinal cord (( which made him not move )) and stabs him repeatedly with syringes causing his eyes, nose, and fingernails to bleed out. That was gruesome. I quite liked how suspense the episode was, and it made Chucky scary again. So far my favorite episode, but I do have a problem is that how did Lexy escape the fire? Speaking about the flashbacks, I have to say that they were well done. It gives you this vibe where you are watching a 70s movie or something. Great Tiffanny reference there when we see Devon researching about the Good Guy Doll Homicide. I have to say that argument between the parents in the hospital was crazy!

10/10.

I love it
stevedoctor4 November 2021
I haven't watched many of the recent movies since seed of chucky but I absolutely love this show. The acting and exposition was corny in the beginning but it was all necessary to give a little context to our characters. Obviously the show isn't going to win emmys but it's so fun too watch and I enjoy it way more than shows like American horror story. This show knows what it is and owns it, best kills so far the past 2 episodes and this episode being the best over all imo. Excited to see where Mancini takes it and hoping the episodes continue this trend of getting better as they go!

Finding Chucky could've been in 5 minutes
agentsofsword3 November 2021
I liked the beginning of the episode and Lexy is growing on me. Some of the scenes could've been just cut and who wrote this episode.

Could've been more thrilling but I guess its okay.

'Vicious little Karen on training wheels'
anthonyjlangford7 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Karen... What a classic quote. So many classic scenes and dialogue in this series. Let's face it. None of the Chucky films have been verging on Shakespeare but having been a long-term Chucky fan, I gotta say that this is probably the best entree since the original film, which I saw as a teenager back in the 80s.

The last few seconds had me in absolute hysterics. Gold.

Considering the basic premise of a murderous doll the writers have really come up with something quite entertaining with lots of twists in every episode.

A lot of the Chucky films over the years, especially the earlier sequels, have felt like filler, albeit entertaining filler but this is moving along at quite a pace without going into the realms of the absurd.

A whole lot of fun and that's what Chucky is all about. He is a good guy doll after all.

CHEER! - (7 stars out of 10)
BJG-Reviews7 December 2021
The stage curtains open ...

Well, I am halfway through Season 1 now having just finished watching Episode 4: "Just Let Go". After a slam-bang Episode 3, this one slows things down a bit to allow us to catch our breath. Sometimes during a season of just about any show out there, it is around the halfway point where the creators can tend to lose control. Not the case here. Things are still tightly reined in, well directed, and well acted - although Chucky himself is on a rampage.

We pick up the story in the local hospital where the surviving kids that were at Lexy's party (when the house caught on fire) have been admitted and are having their wounds tended to. Little Caroline is in intensive care, Chucky is missing, and low & behold - Lexy is still alive. In an effort to find and stop Chucky, Jake takes Lexy into his confidence and they reluctantly team up and head back to her house. It is here during a crucial moment that Jake is put to the test - to see if he is a killer or not.

There was plenty to like about this episode, like the others. We get more of a background on Charles Lee Ray and how he met his future partner in crime - a name you will smile to when you hear it. The scene in the burnt out house was pretty good as well as some of the hospital scenes. The story continues to get deeper and more detailed with tensions rising between parents and with the law.

Yes, this one slows us down, but then ends on a high note, effectively carrying us into the 2nd half of the series with Episode 5 right around the corner. I recommend Episode 4 at a solid 7 stars out of 10. So far so good for the first half. Time to get the next half going.

The writing was straight down perfect, loved that Eddie was revealed too, burnt chucky. I'm starting to like Lexi as well! For once in awhile, I actually felt disturbed by Chucky once again, haven't been since curse came out. Really well done!!

Rob Zombie's Hallow....errr Child's Play
dailydoseofnopes3 November 2021
The season is finally starting to move along but this episode does feel like it was written by Rob Zombie, a really contrived get out of jail free card to avoid paying off the cliffhanger from the previous episode and trying to explore Chucky's origin which has never fared well with horror icons(Myer's cult/redneck broken home, Voorhees' cursed bloodline, and Leatherface's Illuminati).

To give credit this episode is full of suspense and fast paced.

So, she's just immune to fire?
aphoticengineer3 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So, in the previous episode, we witnessed the source of the fire that started in Lexy's room, then, later, as the fire strengthened and breathed into the hallway, we saw that Lexy was pinned in the corner of her room, and the fire was surrounding her and Chucky, in this episode Lexy is just pristine, even a piece of her clothes not singed from the fire that surrounded her, how did she escape? Jumped out of the window? No, she would have hurt her legs, she's just miraculously fine, Chucky got majorly scorched by the flames though, sorry, but that completely took me out of the state of immersion just starting this episode.

Chucky visits the hospital!
Chartreuse14 November 2021
When a fire nearly burns the Cross mansion down the others who attended are treated at the hospital except.... Lexy who somehow shows up uncharred and now realizes Chucky is more than a dumb doll since he almost killed her! She also finds out Jake sent Chucky to do it! How does she react? Chucky roaming the hospital with all those surgical instruments -- a lethal match. Enjoyed tonight's episode and can't wait to see Tiffany and Nica again!!!

That ending though
funnycommentor30 July 2022
First of all, the ending scene was ICONIC. That episode was mainly located on the hospital. Episode's 4 kill, was very bloody and kinda disgusting.. It was as intense as the previous episodes. So far, there weren't any epic chase scenes, but the fights between Chucky and his victims are very intense. The storyline is very well written and I really like that everyone is against each other and trying to find out who the killer is. I'm still kinda upset, that it's not very scary and there aren't many jumpscares. However, I really like that there are many funny scenes.

After watching all those shows, even I remember that you cannot interrogate, much less record whatever you asked the minor.. without a lawyer or his legal guardian present... the detective could get in serious trouble..

but what the hell, who cares awesome show.. fast paced and chucky making buddies.. and killing people.

Good stuff.

Loved it, i need more! [8.5/10]

Warning: Spoilers
My Reaction / Review for Chucky Season 1 Episode 4: Episode 3 was amazing and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Is Jake dumb? Telling Lexy that he sent Chucky to kill her? That's so dumb. So Jake is having regrets and he doesn't wanna work with Chucky anymore? That sucks. It's time Chucky, end what you started please, I want Lexy gone. Chucky's face is now burned and deformed, that sucks. Lol Chucky giving them the middle finger was a nice way to end the episode. Im a bit sad that Lexy is still alive, I really want her gone. Also having Jake and Lexy working together? Yeah I don't like that at all. I hope that now Chucky will want revenge. Overall an amazing episode, my rating is 8.5/10.

The goods keep coming!

Having had so much exposure to Chucky in the last few episodes, it was refreshing to have him sparingly used especially when it lead to *THAT* reveal. Don Mancini is having a lot of fun making this series and it's infectious.

Just Let Go
Prismark1024 June 2023
The previous episode certainly heated up. A fire at Lexi's house and a death and it was not smoke inhalation.

Detective Kim Evans knows it is homicide but her chief suspect, Jake Wheeler was nowhere near the house.

As for Lexi, she knows there is a killer doll after her. That it was Jake who set the doll on her. Both make an uneasy alliance as they go to find Chucky.

For the killer doll, murder is now Child's Play as he is at the hospital going after Lexi's sister. First there is that candy munching cop that Chucky dislikes so much.

It seems there is going to be a change of pace as it is not longer Lexi who is going to be the only target. Now Chucky is on a spree and Jake would not be able to stop him.

The flashbacks of a young Charles Lee Ray grooming Eddie Caputo at their orphanage is going to be important.

I really loved the first 2 episodes but
vassiliskounelis11 November 2021
I really loved the first 2 episodes but the 3rd one focus in other subjects. They focus too much on the story of the characters and its kinda weird to watch it because they are children and its not so interesting.

The 4th episode again focus in other things and Chucky didn't had enough screen time on this episode again this time and that start to bother me the episodes are like 40 minutes you cant just saw us chucky for 10 minutes hahaha.
