Interesting starting but it gots more and more boring , frustrating

I found this on netflix , read the storyline , and it was so interesting the first half of the season 1 was so good , until it gets more annoying , many charactors have done stupid choice , didn't learn anything about the apocalypes , doing many weird things , I can't say these much (Don't want to spoil people) , ******** One last very important things ******** the series tried too hard to feed us "relationship" for each charactors , wasted a lot of time on these things .

They always let the door opens!

It's an okay movie actually at first but then see how naive the MC even until he 'sees' a lot in the later episodes makes me wonder how can a person learns things so slow in a totally different world. It's an okay movie to watch with your friends and family, not too gore and disgusting like other zombie gore fest movie, however the plot is slow which basically a drama with zombies in it. My wife still love it though, so it's just my opinion.

Not Bad

Warning: Spoilers
As many other Japanese movies they tend to make longer conversations, calling & repeating names & statements many many times. They explained things that viewers don't need more explanations. If they cut those unnecessaries, this show is very worth to be a great show. Unfortunately, from each episode the unnecessaries are presented.

The male main character, Hibiki is very charismatic, his acting is really great tho.

But I felt so bad because they displayed Kurumi as a very stupid & weak doctor. In the beginning of the story, she claimed to be the the best medical student. Yet she failed to protect that refugee little girl because she didn't do her duty to check up the infected soldiers just because after hearing Hibiki's death, she's very weak character.

I also felt bad Mr Hongo shot to dead by the soldier. Viewers love heroes, Mr Hongo character should've lived longer.

Minjun also dead, his character is very loving. What a bad idea to destruct viewers emotion.

The scene where Todoroki chained to the wooden pole was indeed moronic, in order to save himself from Zombie attacks he saw his hand. Very idiot!!!! Why not saw the wooden. And why not trying to save yourself first before the zombie attacks, instead of trying to escape they just sitting & talking until it's too late.

I actually laughed so hard when he's sawing his hand, he's chained to a wooden pillar!!!???!!! Stupid writer.

I'm not sure to watch new season, there's rumors they're making it in production now.

I hope the story will be with more genius characters. The world is already too much stupidity, please make the entertainment industry a better place.

Warning: Spoilers
I found this on Netflix. I just finished episode 1 and I think I'm not going to move on to the next one. I am keen on watching Zombie apocalypse films and TV shows. I must say that this TV show is quite disappointing. The story has a potential to be a good one if it was done and executed properly. The characters failed to create connections to the viewers. They had very short background stories. One guy was sent to the evacuation center and when his group got there, he turned out to be bitten by a zombie. He was shot by Hibiki in order to save the little girl. That guy was given a forced "tear-jerking moment". He was hardly even seen and he didn't establish a good rapport with his group. It felt off and confusing. I liked the cinematography though. The sounds and background music lacked a bit. The script was a bit shallow. It needs more depth. I hope they could make a tv show that is as good as Alice in Borderland when it comes to the characters.

good drama series
vaiclur14 April 2021
I've been trying to get into more kdrama/jdrama tv shows and stumbled on a decent site called kissasian and i really didn't know what to pick to start out on but i decided on this since it was zombie themed and the plot seemed interesting. It's got a good storyline, decent zombie gore and plot for the zombies (some are slow while others speed jog so still troubling to take on), and the characters are really likable. I'm fully caught up on the series and really enjoying it as my first series i've gotten into that's in a different language besides kingdom. If you want a good zombie show and you don't mind that it's more drama leaning then I highly recommend this show. I'm not sure if other sites may have it but kissasian is the site I watch it on weekly and I recommend that you watch it on there if you're interested in watching this series. (english captions and good hd quality too)

I love it! (mild spoilers)

Warning: Spoilers
South Korea produces great zombie movies and tv-series (Train to Busan, Alive, Kingdom), but the Japanese aren't doing bad either. Take for instance Love You As The World Ends (Kimi to Sekai ga Owaru Hi ni). In a time when we are bombarded with zombie productions this tv-series does a great job at being different and being able to surprise. I've just watched seasons 1 and 2 and I am mighty impressed. Looking forward to season 3!

The story focuses on young Hibiki Mamiya. He is a car mechanic who gets stuck in a tunnel after an earthquake. When he manages to dig himself out after four days he discovers the world has changed. There are zombies everywhere! Desperately he goes on a search to find his fiancee, Kurumi. But like in so many zombie stories it looks like the living are more dangerous than the dead.

I loved the Japanese zombiefilm I am hero. One cut of the dead was also amazing, but that (spoiler!) wasn't a zombie movie at all, more a hommage to filmmaking.

Love you as the world ends is basically a love story. It's about a young man trying to find his love in a post-apocalyptic world, finding her, losing her and everything in between. It's great to see him evolve from a happy, naive and sympathetic young man into a realistic person who does everything to survive - even killing. As a western viewer you do have to get used to Japanese drama. It sometimes is really over the top (and unrealistic to us), but that may just be a cultural thing. I love how this series looks (the abandoned cities) and the effective way the makers seem to kill off (popular) characters. No, in this story nobody is safe.

However, a lot of illogical things also happen. In season 2 for instance there is this "safe place". One day some zombies manage to get in. The first thing you would do is to check for openings in the fence. How would these zombies get in? That does not happen, though.

I also didn't like the song that they used every time at the end of an episode, when something dramatic happens. And I realize that now you know this, you will pay extra attention to it as well. I wished they used different music instead.

Still, Love you as the world ends is highly recommended!

Unique Storyline. Must Watch!!
hartbrennan22 June 2023
Story goes with lead Hibiki stuck in a rubble for 4 days. World has changed completely alongside his beloved high school girl friend is missing.

This one really is emotional, filled with suspense. There were betrayal at every single footstep taken ahead on journey.

Hibiki and Korumi are seperated again and again kind of heartbreaking. This tv series is not for somebody who is sensitive to blood or emotionally weak but i would suggest anyone over 17+ to watch. It surely had a lesson to care for your love ones to a deep extend.

Then comes Season 3 with some huge plot twists. They 2 on beach..
