Poor Ben.

Ben upsets an important manager from Cavitex, who poses as an undercover patient, meaning he needs a training session. Michael, Janey and Alfie end up having a Saturday night in.

This is another fine episode on this later series, there seem to be more and more episodes where either Ben or Susan is missing. Lindsay as always is amazing, what a funny man he is, also a good episode for Alfie.

Great scenes between Ben and his new boss, always great to see him squirming on the end of a hook. 8/10.

It's Training Men - Halleluah

Robin Taylor only wrote two episodes of 'My Family' (ironically both Ben or Susan absent episodes) and for me this is the best one.

I don't know why but Susan free episodes seem to work better than ones where Ben is absent, and this one really allows Robert Lindsay to shine.

Well paired with Kieron Self (Roger) this episode that sees the grumpy dentist packed off to a course is great fun, with lots of funny moments.

We also get a fun subplot too, involving the kids and Alfie.

Series 9 of the show was a good one, and this is another example of that.
