This film was not made in the Philippines as some people have stated. The film was made in the scrub in the Dandenongs and a lot of my friends as well as myself took time of work and volunteered to be extras on the proviso that we received a copy of the complete film which never happened ...thanks Rainer. By reading the credits one would think that Rainer was the only person who did all the work, this is not so without our help and support this film would have never gotten off the ground. Most of the equipment was supplied by Mr Bernie Dingle from the Australian Light horse and Artillery Museum in Nar Nar Goon.Non of the equipment used in the film was American nor were any of the actors. The two Japanese that was found to play the parts of the guards new nothing about what the Japanese did to the POW's and were completely astounded to find out that every thing we told them was actual fact.
