A Grim discovery.
Sleepin_Dragon27 March 2022
A team of detectives make a grim discovery, parts from six bodies cobbled together, making up the aptly named Ragdoll.

I thought the opening few and final few minutes were excellent, and certainly grabbed my attention, the rest of the episode was a bit of a mixed bag. It certainly had some good points, but some bad also.

I liked the characters, and they're of course what you'd expect, the vegan joke was amusing. I love Phil Davies, he was perhaps a little underused. That body was very macabre, quite original.

The story, was very hard to follow, events seemed to be happening for no apparent reason, it was so fast and furious, that at times I couldn't quite piece things together.

Better than many shows I've watched recently, I just wish it was a little easier to comprehend events surrounding Rose.

Pretty good, 6/10.

I am enjoying it so far....

The plot as it opened to us in the first episode has my interest..... and I am enjoying the episode barring one detail which unfortunately is really irritating and does impact on my overall experience..... it is the American character..... I can see no reason for this character and it's personality ..... the character or rather the character's personality comes across as an afterthought to the screen play / plot and only seems to be involved in order to reach or attract a very small minority of potential viewers .... I am trying not to allow it spoil my enjoyment but as with so many shows these days it is the price We viewers pay for the sake of someone's opinion of 'inclusion'......!

I will post more in the last episode reviews once I have watched the series....

Could Have Been Interesting

My review of the first episode of Ragdoll: The premise is interesting and there was some good character development.

HOWEVER, in the first 20 minutes, Lucy Hale's character made 2 denigrating comments about white males and talked down to the white male lead. This type of socially acceptable racism doesn't fly with me anymore. I won't tolerate it from any "entertainment" and I'm disappointed that Hale seems okay with it.

I'm not okay with it, so, after just 20 minutes, I'm done with this show.
