“The Wiz Live!” and “Grease Live!” both continued the live musical revival that began with NBC’s “The Sound of Music Live!” in 2013, which drew a remarkable 18.4 million viewers.
NBC’s “The Wiz,” though, was designed more like a Broadway show with an eye on Broadway sometime in the future. “The Wiz” “lent itself more to theatrical environments because of its familiarity, because it’s fantasy, and because of its musical performances,” said production designer Derek McLane (“The Sound of Music Live!” and NBC’s “Peter Pan Live!”).
McLane collaborated with”Hamilton” Tony-winning costume designer Paul Tazewell on an organic world with different looks made for the culture of today.
“Kansas is not a happy place for Dorothy and that’s reflected in its neutral palette,” McLane continued. “Munchkinland is predominantly orange with cylindrical buildings that evoke the Munchkins. Emerald City is like a modern club with different shades of green and electrified.

Last week, rumors started to surfaces that Disneyland would be closing down the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride and replace it with a Guardians of the Galaxy ride. It sounds like those rumors are actually true. Mice Chat backs up the rumor and even offers additional details on what to expect from the new ride. Apparently Disney was pissed when the news leaked.
According to the report, Team Disney Anaheim executives have been spending lots of early mornings and late nights building tests for the Guardians attraction and playing around with the pre-show hallways and queue. With this going on, it's not surprising that it leaked out.
The whole Twilight Zone story told on the ride will be removed and replaced with an all-new show that will at least partially focus on the Collector character from the Guardians film franchise. They go on to say:

We all knew the day would come, but The Walking Dead #141 confirms that a certain character will be making a grand re-entrance soon. With Toy Fair currently going on in NYC, we also have a look at some new building sets from McFarlane Toys and an updated look at the comic series 4 figures.
New Cover Art: Courtesy of TheWalkingDead.com, we have an early look at the cover for The Walking Dead #141, featuring a clean-shaven Negan about to leave his prison cell. What could possibly convince Rick to let him out? We'll know on May 13th.
Comic Series 4 Figures: McFarlane Toys doesn't produce as many of The Walking Dead comic series figures as they do for the TV series, but they are well worth the wait. Comic Series 4 features Abraham, Jesus, Carl, and a new zombie. We've also included a look at the figures from Toy Fair, thanks to Toyark!

Agents of Shield, Season 1, Episode 12, “Seeds”
Written by Monica Owusu-Breen and Jed Whedon
Directed by Ken Fink
Agents of Shield has struggled in its first season to find its voice as a stand-alone TV show and its identity within the larger Marvel universe. One possible reason is that the show hasn’t developed a formula. “Seeds” does not change this, but while it does not develop a formula unique to Agents of Shield, it does borrow an episodic formula familiar to fans of The X-Files or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Fitz and Simmons return to Shield Academy after an accident involving technology that they developed while studying at the academy. A student has built a device capable of freezing water in the air, which could be weaponized to freeze enemies to death or create massive weather storms. Donnie, a highly intelligent and socially awkward freshman, is under suspicion for being behind the accident,...

Of all the ’80s slasher films, a group crowded with all sorts of efforts, Wes Craven’s A Nightmare On Elm Street still reigns supreme as one of the more imaginative of the entire bunch. Nightmares have been fodder for many horror films over the decade, but here they’re particularly insidious and memorable. The film basically turned its producing studio, New Line Cinema, into a major player, gave a fresh breath of life into a genre that had grown stale, boosted the career of Craven, turned its scarred bogeyman Freddy Krueger into a pop culture icon (hat, red & green striped sweater, designer glove and all), made Robert Englund (as Krueger) a bona fide genre star, and provided a key early role for Johnny Depp. The impact A Nightmare On Elm Street has made in about 29 years is undeniable. The story, for those out there who have lived under a rock all this time,...

Most television series hit the fourth season mark with the characters firmly established allowing the creators and performers a chance to stretch a bit, certain they won’t lose their audience. The better shows know just how far to stretch, how far to push the formula, and when to pull back. Thankfully, TNT’s Leverage toed the line carefully by varying the stories told in the two half season comprising the 15 episode fourth season. The series has never been anything less than a delight as the con men turned good guys find corruption everywhere they turn and can’t help themselves, coming to the rescue.
The series features a strong, tight ensemble that is allowed to grow and develop, making us love the characters just a little bit more. The fourth season came out on a four disc set last week, just in time for the fifth season’s debut.
