Gert eagerly welcomes his old uncle Heliotroop, who brings along his violin and plays it rather well. Alberto visits, but shows more interest in the food until the violin case inspires him to return home 'urgently'. He digs up his own violin, but only for the case, which he takes back to Gert's to stuff with food. Then he takes the loot to the town hall, where he pretends to rehearse violin playing undisturbed, while in fact eating the loot. The mayor loves the sound and promises the ministerial delegate a concert, only to discover the deceit afterward.
