Own the rights?
Very tasteful and elegant, with a strong key idea and truly stunning visuals. I saw this student film in the course of 2007's Animago Award, which showcases the year's best in VFX and digital compositing. It's amazing what those guys achieved, especially considering that they were limited by film school budget and equipment. The character animation is just breathtaking. Colors and lighting create a thrilling erotic atmosphere of both danger and temptation (the IMDb recommendation "Basic Instinct" kind of hits it, for me). Considering the impressive visuals, I was especially delighted that everything always seemed to come organically from the story and what the characters went through it. This is something rare in many student's films. In fact, this one didn't stay a science fiction effects fantasy for me, it became more like a metaphor of society, leaving me thinking about it for a few days. Like in some of the better Philipp K. Dick stories. Hope to see more from that director!
