"Lady Vic" follows the aftermath of the previous two episodes which saw Dick Grayson taking Jonathan Crane/The Scarecrow out to forest and getting answers, the other storyline had Starfire and Gar find Blackfire and break her out of a prison cell. Whilst the previous episode was told in flashbacks and gave us almost all answers regarding Jason Todd's transformation into Red Hood. I actually buy the transformation, as in the second season we got to see Jason's fears and it's completely human to not feel afraid and that was his goal in working with Jonathan Crane. But in this episode, Crane enlists the help of assassin Lady Vic, who has a troubled history with Dick and Barbara. Meanwhile, Kory and Gar bring Blackfire back to Wayne Manor. Like episode 3.04, there are two storylines that we follow. Dick Grayson and the Red Hood story, and Starfire and Blackfire. I'll admit that the writers have something interesting going in the latter storyline, also the writers of this episode seems to write dialogue a lot better than those who wrote 3.04 at least for Starfire and Blackfire. Meanwhile the storyline involving Grayson and Babs was the best and their performances were fantastic, great chemistry too.
Great direction from Nick Gomez, there were also some truly amazing cinematography. The whole episode looked fantastic as the show usually does, there were some new sets and locations and my favorite was Barbara Gordon's apartment. There were also quite a lot of action in the episode, I would actually say it was an episode with mostly character development, but the action was nicely choreographed and I loved Barbara's small yet brilliant fight as it shows how she's still a bad ass in the wheel chair. Brenton Thwaites and Savannah Welch had the best performances of this episode, but the whole cast did amazing.
"Lady Vic" was a terrific episode that moved the storyline forward immensely yet giving us nice character interactions with well written dialogue and lots of character development. Wonderfully shot and a visually pleasing episode.
