Accessible through Prime in the Netherlands, this absurdist, satirical comedy show contains several Dutch actors who have successfully dabbled in abstract and weird comedy and established a genre that is very hard to sell outside the Netherlands due to its typical "Dutch fingerprint".
I have watched a couple of episodes now, and I can't wrap my head around whether it's brilliant or lazy. Each sketch or scene is setup really nicely but then doesn't seem to go anywhere. It's as if the actors and director kinda figured things out during shoot.
Perhaps their original style humor hasn't aged or I rather see something more thought out and conclusive, or maybe I have to get used to it because it's so peculiar. I'm leaning towards a more negative view on the show but I will give it more time, come back and potentially revise my review, since this may be one of these rare shows that require it.
