One mystery, two funerals.

Twi funerals, two mysteries, and a web of intrigue that starts to become more apparent to our central character.

I love the intricacy of the plot, I love the web that writer Horovitz has spun, this wasn't my favourite episode thus far, but it still held my attention and entertained. I definitely have a theory about 'whodunnit,' and I still feel as though someone is trying to get her out of the way, but time will tell.

Credit to Horovitz again, there are no spare parts here, if someone is in this show, they are here for a purpose, nobody feels like a bit part player.

Atticus Pund though, I'd watch a series with him as the central Detective.

I do love the contrasts between the present and the past, some differences are very apparent, some, like the language are very subtle.

7/10.

Episode 4

It opens with a chance meeting between Alan Conway and Katie Williams, Susan's sister. They go to a cafe for a chat.

It is also the episode where Conway's funeral takes place. His son disliked him after Conway came out as gay.

Susan is considering whether to be CEO or go to Greece with her boyfriend Andreas. She is shocked to learn that Conway's ex wife used to go out with Andreas Patakis.

By the end of the episode that was not the only link between her and Conway's family past or present.

Atticus Pünd's fictional investigation mirrors Susan's own past. As Conway's editor she never picked it up.

Now it is all so clear to her. Conway used aspects of her life and inserted it into his new novel. He got the information from her sister.

The twin story aspects work well and become compelling.

Once again I have suspicions when a certain character appears. I do wish that unless the director was trying to be clever, he picked someone else.
