Trivia:
Two episodes feature scenes filmed on the set of Coronation Street. At the time this series was filmed, Craig Charles was appearing on the long-running soap opera. Coronation Street is actually produced by one of the BBC's rival networks, making this a rare occasion in which a BBC crew filmed on the set of the ITV series. more
Quotes:

Rimmer: What sort of godforseken place it this?
Cat: This is worse than Rimmerworld!
Dave Lister: Get out of town - this is brilliant! It's just like where I grew up, except there's less burning cars!

I found the new red dwarf film/short series Funny yet however disappointing as it swerved off from its low budget BBC roots onto Dave. Sure the new computer animated graphics were impressive in all 3 episodes yet i found characters especially in the first episode isolated from each other as the sets seemed too large and glossy. The plot wasn't perfect but it was better than the ones in the last few episodes created. I gave the show a score of 8 in truth because i had been dying to see a new R.D episode, and fingers crossed if the viewings were high the cast might be persuaded to create another great "long" series. If the production crew read this i would advise them to get back onto the BBC CAUSE THE ADVERTS ON DAVE WERE EVERY 8 MINUTES :(.Plus with a lower budget i believe on BBC the producers can become more creative with the scenes and avoid pointless unfunny characters like that CGI robot in the first episode.
